We finally got our site finished and online tonight. There are about 20 something match vids on there from both Tennessee and Kentucky players, with a few travel matches against GunFlame Buri and Shazay (Sorry Mr. Mam, couldn't find any match vids with you)

Anyway, check it out if you feel like it, and tell us what the fuck you think.

Please note, we do have a semi-limited bandwidth, so please save them and delete once you are done.

Well, I've updated the news page to reflect it's not you, but with the titles, It'll take a bit to fix. This also means that GunFlame's matches probably aren't his either. Which makes sense. I do remember I won the percentage against his Sol, but on the DVD I had, i didn't loose a single one to his Sol, and I don't think I PWNED him... so that is reflected too. Eli, can you confirm or deny this ill shit?

I've just watched the testament and millia match.
They are bad.
The testament has no frc, no trees and anything. He jumps D and jumps D for the whole match. The Millia has little to no pressure on 236 hs. Waiting for testament's burst for the whole match?

Heh, I can't disagree with what g-ngan says on that one. It looks pretty bad. In defense, the millia player has been playing about 4 months now, and fraley is, IMO, one of our best. He has tress and webs galore, and the FRC... well he was missing it right there. I've eaten my share of EXE loops. There are a few 'off-matches' posted and that's one of them, but yes, he looked like dogshit in that one, true enough.

G_ngan that's the same thing i though when i saw that match, and when he tried to gatling 2S->2HS over and over again I was like ... man that's bad :/ But after watchin' the other matches i've changed my mind ;) He's got the skills and knows his character, that match with Millia was just plain bad :P nvm happens ;)

OK....I haven't read the rest of this thread yet....or watched the vids....but I'll go ahead and say that I'll play ANY Testament player or otherwise who doesn't seem to think that I know what I'm doing with him. ANY player. I always welcome criticism as the things that piss you off are the ones you remember and fix and thank the person for saying later, but frankly I'm kinda sick of everyone thinking that "Fraley's just not that good." I have off matches..Off DAYS for that matter :grin: , but my Win to Loss ratio from casuals, serious ones, and tournament matches and casuals seems to be way the hell up on the W column. I'm not the best by far, and I've seen some JP Testy's that drop my jaw, but no one is going to say that kinda shit without beating me down and showing me that it's pointless. Kugler and other KY players, I'm going to try and make it a point to come home(TN) on the weekend of the 13-15th of OCT. If there is any way you all can come down, great. If not I will be more than willing to come up there.

BTW Shagsta I preciate it and man do I ever look forward to seeing you and playing some I-no and Axel again. Even if I have to wait til FRX in March!!See you there bro

Of the four matches, the one with Young kinda sucked for me b/c I won by missing 2 straight NC's and getting 6+HS which won(as to say if I would've gotten it the first time, he would have blocked it and changed the outcome possibly because he's a friggin BEAST), but whatever. The other two were drunken stupers, and the only good one was the one where RyanBill whooped my ass. That's good stuff. Hope I didn't offend anyone with that previous post, but it's my true opinion. I'm pretty sure g_ngan didn't mean anything in a bad way. As someone who knows him personally I'll just say that Gary never minces his words, he talks direct as a way of giving suggestions for improvement. He used to tell me, "not enough 6P", "throw more" or "play smarter, stop doing the same crap over and over again". It was because of him I learned to play the game at a much higher level than I started.

Thought I might be able to enlighten the situation, since I've been lucky enough to play both g_ngan and Fraley in person. Fraley is solid and it was fun to play him when he visited Atlanta, I'm sure he's done nothing but improve. That said, I've been fortunate enough to play a lot of you in this region including most of you in this thread and it's been my honor. So for those of you that know me I'll just say one thing on behalf of g_ngan, he taught me how to play across hours and hours in Hong Kong arcades, and I became a much, much better player because of his advice.

Let's all try to show each other some respect, and take advice at face value. I think we all mean well, but often words don't come out the way we want them to, and I understand how everyone is especially sensitive about criticisms to their own playing.

Still going through the vids myself, will try to post something more productive once I'm done. I brings back good memories of playing you guys Final Round, Otakon, etc. Until the next time I get to play you all again.

Sweet, vids are up! I haven't had a look at any yet, but I'm sure mine is among the worst. That "shitty Sol in default colors" everyone is talking about was probably me. I remember I accidentally picked default colors for that match. I'll just admit - I suck. I've been playing for about a year and a half, and not very seriously at that. I was just glad I managed to win one round out of that match.

I've been trying to move on to someone else.....namely, Robo-Ky. At least when I play shitty, I can blame it on his awesome low-tierness.

EDIT: I take that back. I watched the video. I used my preferred Sol color, not the default. But I still play shitty anyway.

I don't think I can post the VTYME shit... see, I don't know what the fucking hell it is. I'm sure I have the matches, but with so much source and random shit on those DVD's, I can't tell what is what anymore. I'll have the shit archived, but I think I'm going to have to 'start over' so to speak. From now on I've got to start keeping an index of matches or get the rest of the equipment so I can setup a dual audio in with 'crowd noise' as well. We need to start figuring out how to get ATL, TN, KY, Bama, and SC together for a massive GG weekend or some shit. We should figure that out in MatchFinder tho.

Anyway, I appriciate the comments guys. I'm pretty sure we all take critisim a touch personally. I mean GG IS about beating the hell out of the other guy... so it is an ego thing. Kinda like KombatFreak said, I've had the pleasue to meet and play many of you now, and everyone handles themselves well and are really cool peepz, it can be hard to transfer you meaning on forums and such. I dont' think KDX was really serious about betting on the match, tho. One thing I've learned from playing with Fraley is he has this unusual talent for fighters to somehow pull these amazing wins out in a cluth moment. When somone is running the shit out of you, you generally can't mentally recover and turn the tides, but he thrives on that shit. The harder you beat him the better he gets until he's up to 13 wins in a row and you wanna choke yourself. Tha'ts been my experience, anyway.

I can't post matches of me winning Jias, cuz all the coolest shit happens when I loose. Like that Ride The Lightning thru the GunFlame and the RC to save my ass against Young's SOL. Man, that is SHIT HOT.

I think I'm going to go thru DVD's again really soon, and do a massive re-update, I can't promise I'll have the matches labeled any better tho, but I'll try.

I would have done more vids but I was discouraged by that iSofter trial version watermark (lol) and the horrid quality with Windows movie maker. dont do jackhound off ur blocked hs string, its very very punishable. also like frcJo suggested... try some other combination instead of hs coin hs coin x nth.. its good if u are looking for a CH to combo but then u still gotta play it safe and mix up ur strings from time to time. super is awesome...but dont abuse it and use it to punish recovering moves or occasionally as wake up super if u spot holes in ur opp's oki game. when u throw people in the corner u might wanna try something other than ksks e.. mabe string like ksksde or pks double jump s hs d e on char like faust or baiken.

EDIT: Yeah, that's DEFINITELY not me, for the following reasons:
1) Not my color.

3) I use a lot more ASE and j.D
4) I always IB rock it
5) I hardly ever combo into GS, and I NEVER do it after stun dipper RC.

We all need to kind of practice so we can get a few consistent top placers of our own. It would be great to see the somewhat overlooked Atlantic South get taken seriously, and I know we've got those kinds of players here. Ah well, that's my vision for the scene anyway.

Yea that weekened of tourney expereince at FRX really helped me see my problems points immediatly. I was glad I could go and get used to the whole experience. wow after watchin these vids i gotta say there are alot of new cats in the GG scene that are hella impressive! right now tho i gotta say if i were to have my picks on the most impressive in order it'd go like this...

1. doren2k
-really solid jam! i like his play style, it seems a bit more conservative. only advice i'd say is to not OTG as much and jus go for more 5o/5o setups on wakeup. i thought u were doing really well against juicy and to be quite honest i thought u were gonna come back. but hey its all good, practice up.

2. blacksnake
-very smart venom player. i can tell he was missing alot of stinger frc's but he still held his ground. good stuff.

3. rudy
-not many zappa's but his play style seems a bit different to that of fubar. i think thats wut got me, but still another smart player.

and that will end my 2cents....

indeed...=) Ive played him a few times and the 1st time I pretty much owned him but after that the situation has been reversed. Very fast learner and a hard working player...expect good things from him imo.

oh...side note: tad if you were playing in the tourney like you were playing in the hotel room you'd have beasted. I was impressed, the student has officially (and impressively) surpassed the teacher!
