I've played Mistral plenty of times and he is certainly not a dropper. I've played a lot of matches where people seem to have no problem pulling off combo's, yet everything is moving in slow motion for me and my button presses aren't coming out. It sounds like each of you is seeing different things on yours screens in terms of gameplay, so Mistral may have no dropped the match at the last second, but you saw that he did. There are still plenty of bugs in these updates and these problems may just be some of them.

I dropped multiple times at the beginning of matches but decided to try playing one through with you since you were somewhat persistent. I got sick of stuff not coming out due to lag and decided to just drop right there. Oh, and the taunting is a side effect of restarting the game (pressing all the shoulder buttons and start + select.)

Playing #R online was a dumb but interesting experience.

Guys, the thing about #R online is that there will always those few frames of lag that WILL effect you. To connect to someone with "flawless lag" is like playing on a Big Screen TV. It's online, and you can't determined anyone's skills on it.

Seeing people go off, giving advice just because they played so and so online or put there ranks in there sigs for whatever stupid reason.

Overall, its not a project that should be dropped but something no one should take seriously.

I'm not calling bad games on XInstinct (sp?) but something was definitely fishy. We go to final round my Chipp vs his Slayer. Both times I had him in a combo going into a mixup the game somehow completely slows to a crawl until he hits me and then it returns to normal speed. Now hey I can't prove anything and the guy didn't drop when I was beating his other characters but it seems really odd that both times I had a chance to heap a ton of damage on someone the game slowed to unplayable speeds.

Eventually I got annoyed and started taunting him right back including flat out baiting him with a taunt while he had about 1% life and went into criss cross super when he went to attack. Because IKs are generally considered scrubby, and most (including me) have the mentality that people who actually try to use IKs in a match (randomly, as opposed to doing it only when the opponent is dizzy) aren't worth playing. In addition, doing random shit (including IKs) in a laggy game is a bigger reason that someone might drop.

Actually he/she did that to me this evening. We've had plenty of matches, and he/she would stay on like a trooper regardless of who had the upper hand. So, I'm a bit hesitant to say the drop on me was malicious.

Flava dave on the other hand dropped when I was doing fairly well on the third match, and with a boot to the title screen no less. I tried to initiate a match afterward, and was once again met with the title screen. I tell ya, it hurts. : (

This is just a heads up to a lot of players, specifically Sol and Slayer players working their way up. Spamming specials to get out of combos is the worst way to play this game. More and more I'm seeing people who are obviously just rotating their pad/stick and hitting buttons to get out of situations. Or they're mashing buttons when teching to get in a random punch/kick. While I'm sure this has proven effective against a lot of people, you'll never really get further in your progress playing that kind of style against anyone half decent. Players adapt and start baiting you left and right while you fly in the air with one uppercut after another hitting nothing. Calm your game down and pick your spots better.

I've encountered that guy as well. He quit on me when I was beating him for two rounds, then he had the audacity to come back on to keep trying to challenge me.

I went from a Rank A to D just from letting him learn how to play the game a little bit better, a little technical problems shouldn't cause such a hassle. I've had slo-mo matches where the other guy wanted to fight but I didn't.
I've had important cell phone calls come in during a match. Sometimes I cant let it ring!
Knocks at the door, and other interruptions. I try to give a "WAIT A SECOND!", but it depends.
Its an online, third party mod that is at a beta level of production. I give MASSIVE PROPS to the programmers, and the fact that so many updates have come out warms my heart. BUT, its still prone to bugs and disconnects.

There are so many more reasons why a goodnatured player would end up dropping. I know it doesnt happen ALL the time, but the fact that someone can jump on this forum and BG someone without knowing all the facts is crappy.

I admit wholeheartedly that dropping maliciously at the end of a match is bad form. I dont need to say any more about that. It's just that this forum can lead to bad blood for reasons that may be trivial.

Bad game to BRAVER, kind of. I played through the first match because I always give laggy match ups at least one chance, but that was my limit. When you challenged me the second time, I jokingly went random. If you're going to keep trying to play me even after that, I'm going to have to put you on deny. I'd really like to play your Zappa, but unfortunately I just can't stand the choppy gameplay; the lag we get kills the experience. Sorry, man.

It's not ridiculously laggy, but it does get unbearably choppy a lot. If it runs perfectly smooth for you, I don't get why it's all crappy for me... I get the same thing with FA players (Though I didn't used to) when, whenever they throw out an item, the game tends to go in slow motion for a moment. However, I think I'm the only one experiencing that because I've never had a single FA player that I've fought against address it.

I'll try doing a fresh reinstall of the game later on to see if all of these problems of mine get fixed in the process. However, until then, given the unwelcome wave of spikes that I get when I face you, I'd rather not play against your Zappa.

Edit: We can try giving it another go if you'd like just for the sake of double-checking, but if it runs like shit again, I'm going to end up quitting like before.

yeah, you're right; it's the 2D FRC that needs to be done pretty much at the opening frames of it. as for its purpose...my best guess is that the downtime from c.S > that of the FRC, so the FRC brings Jam back to neutral and gives her just enough time to run in deeper for a better gatling by pushing anji into the corner.

i could be wrong about this theory. i barely do RCs at all, let alone FRCs. ask dorren2k or another better Jam player than me. shouldn't be too hard considering i'm like...one of the underlings of Jam players here :sweatdrop:

c.S > 2D FRC > (run in) c.S > 2S > 5K > c.S (again, somehow. this one was beyond me o_O) > 2D > 2, 2HS

Alright, Shoex that lag was making things very difficult so I had to drop during our matches, Vux, again that lag was slowing my shit down constantly, I tried bouting a couple of rounds but most of the time I couldn't even escape that third grade shit. Hopefully the connection gets better between us.
