I've downloaded a new set of sprites from Justnopoint.com but when I try to make it transparent it doesn't work right. I lost my old sprite collection so I have to start over. When I made my old ones there was no problem so ever. I just used transparency--add alpha channel--fuzzy tool---delete and...tada! But with these new sprites I've got a problem.
I tried removing the background with one of my Ky sprites and anything black on the edges it removes, too. When I open it up again, I find out it isn't transparent anymore but it has a pale blue background. This is so irritating!
I'm using gimp.

Can anyone help?
