Hell yeah. ^ I wouldn't consider gameplay to be 100% canonical. Especially given half the things characters have said during Faust's Enema poke. Venom's "love letter" has me scratching my head on that one... especially given Zato was dead for such a long time and Venom turned frosty during Butterfly and Her Gale (killing Volf and all). Blade Report post Posted June 10, 2015 Just to be clear there are some things that contradict that notion, even if obvious item is obvious. For example, Elphelt's and Ramlethal's "blocking animation" looks almost exactly like the animations used for "Absolute Defense Barrier: Felion", doesn't mean that they're the ones casting that spell in particular. Only Ariels can technically use that barrier. Besides that though, you just gotta laugh at the gags and not take them too seriously pertaining to the plot itself. Even the silly stuff seen in Arcade mode should be taken with a grain of salt, particularly Chipp's ending with May, which technically didn't happen that way at all in Story Mode itself. Even Zato's "boss battle" with Ramlethal didn't happen. Worth noting that, if you bought Bedman's System Voice, he calls each Versus battle a "Delightful Little Paradox". Which makes sense, given that these are mostly "what if?" battles. Thank the Lord Faust's Facial Surgeries aren't canonical.... (Speaking of which, has anyone tried them on Jack-O' or Johnny yet?) I really don't expect them to bring a build to E3 since so far it looks like this is going to be exclusive to JPN arcades for a while after it's finished sometime in the next few months (sort of guessed to be finished after Arc Revo). Most of its usefulness has shown in easier combos (ie dash specials). I dont even need a frame buffer, but some of the wakeup animations are just hard to tell when your hitbox is there. My opinion if they do it will prolly be a new char..but still fingers crossed for at least 2 to 4 since it's a new iteration and the game is set for summer release in jpn. Reversals weren't that hard to do in the first place and the change made them even easier, maybe if we're talking reversal gold burst but everything else is meh Yeah some wakeup animations are fucked up, like sin's face down but whatever man it's part of the character, that's like complaining about an overhead that has hard to see startup animation, it's just part of the design. Except in this case you know its going to happen and you can just learn the timing.
