Post up your arcade stick.

Seems this thread has run a bit cold, but I just recently received my plexi and art from Art's. I have 2 artworks for my Soul Edition stick, one with Litchi and one with Noel.

Just finished making a background for my Madcatz KE Fightstick!

I think i did decently well for my first attempt at making art.

Tell me what you guys would change or if you like it.

That art looks really nice and clean, but the dust washer would cover most of Junpei's shoulder... I would move him over to the left.

oh, right we have one of these threads here

Got everything sorted with my Panzer. Fantastic case to work with, Jasen was (and has continued to be!) a fantastic guy to work with.
Art by woof, who was also awesome to work with!

Ignore the missing Ethernet cable, I took it out to cut it to a better length.

Here are my 3 sticks (from left to right):

The Dragon Ball Z stick, created by Nuby, features Analog input. I tried Sonic Adventure 2 with it and it works. I bought this in hopes of playing Smash Bros with an arcade stick, however, two adapters from Mayflash that I tried apparently force the Analog mode to always be digital (as indicated by the Analog LED).

The arcade stick by Mayflash has both a PSX/PS2 port and a USB port. I don't really like the noises that the buttons make upon pressing them. Pressing 9+10 at the same time functions as the home button.

stuff

I'm not a huge fan of the smokey background nor am I fan of Sin overlaying through. The focal right now is the Xrd logo since its the brightest object on the design. I also don't like how Ky is behind Sin, which one is supposed to be the main focus ? I can understand the father son idea but I think one of them should stand out more. "Be Just or ... Just Do It" doesn't really click to me either.

My suggestion would be to :

-Make Sin brighter (no overlay) and maybe overlay or some sort of blend effect on Ky if you wish to keep him (I'd look into different art personally, I know it's from Overture but I don't particularly like the art style. Thats just personal preference tho)

-Make the logo dim into the background if you wish to keep it, it shouldn't be conflicting for proximity in the design

-Look into more backgrounds. I suggest googling rough textures or something in relation to gears or whatever you want the main design element to be. Don't worry about colors, utilize Gradient Overlays and Overlay effects of abstract colors to make the background more interesting

Those are my two cents anyway, you don't have to take it to heart or anything.

I guess this is kind of stick related? I bought the Sanwa Denshi Xrd stick, and I've been wondering what kind of backpack can I get so it doesn't get destroyed whenever I go out with it? Does anyone know if the Madcatz backpack would fit it? I'm interested in it because of the padded insides that give extra protection to the lever, anything else like that?

I bought this earlier this year to use as my travel stick. It was $20 at the Elecom store, though it's just a rebranded Mayflash with a different PCB. Stick is a stock JLF with a Link detachable shaft, buttons are Crown 28mm using the Mayflash harness from etokki, and those metal things you see are steel adhesive weights purchased from Harbor Freight, totaling in at 12oz. The best part is actually not pictured: also from Harbor Freight are 1/4" thick furniture pads adhesived on to the sides of the bottom plate, which makes this thing stay in place no matter what. All this in a stick that can still fit inside of a small messenger bag, in a laptop bag with a laptop, etc.

I should really post up my other sticks once I'm back in Japan, my High Grade is coming along quite nicely. :)
