[AC] Bridget Match-Ups FAQ

Recommended Posts

every time i go to my local tourney im thinking what monsters will i be fighting, he is one of them that automatically pops up in my head.

After bad memories learned some lessons, careful on that note oki, 6P is your friend, on a side note tell me if im wrong but 2K beats stroke the big tree.

See the thing is 2K is great but its iffy unless u can score either KD or go into a combo. KSMH~P like Alex says works too. However, I see I-no so much that I recognize the starting animation so well and react with 2D for a KD into a 4set or FRC combo. However this only works depending on which STBT it is, whether its HS or S. If its S STBT, 2K and 2D are fine but 2D is a lot more strict timing. If its a HS STBT then you have far more options like utilizing the KSMH~P for a KD. Watch out though, cuz if I-no frc's STBT then he can either 1F you and then punish or if he's really feeling up to stuff use Slashback into a throw (FRC) combo.

Thank you! ^^

It took years of losing, honestly. Bridget is an incredible character to learn, in that; you have to utilize the GG engine to get ahead. So learning Bridget really makes someone good at GG. Always analyzing your current tools and for the current situation. this is the opposite of, say Salyers; lets always backdash out of everything. or - lets always 2S for every AA. or - lets always j.HS for every jump in. etc. Bridget has to utilize IB, air throw, low profile, reversal DP, FD etc. to do what some other characters can do. This is a great way to re-enforce basics.

tldr; I lost a lot of matches. and had to explore every option possible until I could win.

Probably people will known this, but some weeks ago I discover a option select for bridget vs slayer and I think that Bridget players will love known about it.

If you make on your wakeup the bridget "shoryuken", and slayer do his dandy step (the version that makes cross up and appears in your back) your shoryuken will not appear and you will get a 5P in counter, so if you land this 5P you will get a free combo from that.
