Ok sweet! There's a Magic Tournament I'll be in for most of the day, but if I do poorly I'll head straight down there. I can't find a listing of the times any of these tournaments start. Is that info anywhere?

I really do wanna meet ya guys and start Rockin'.

Is that magic tournament the Mox Boarding House 4K? If so you should totally talk to Steven. He works at the card kiosk.

Also, to whom it may concern, my new PSN is OsunaSama and I'm going to be playing a fair amount of Xrd.

I'll be going up and down Oregon this week and was wondering if there were any spots to play some Xrd in Bend/Eugene/Portland. Going to be in Portland on Friday, possibly with a friend.

I should of done this earlier, so for any stranglers that live in/near Portland and is looking for a group to play these games with, I do run Airdasher sessions at my home every Wednesday, we mostly play BB but we always have a set up for GGXRD, if you are interested in attending, you can contact me here on Dustloop, and I usually will post information about the session on the PDX airdasher facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/PDX.Airdashers/

Our group is a mixed bag of casuals, beginners and veterans, we are a pretty friendly group of people that get pretty hyped over all sorts of stuff, and we always welcome additional players, the sessions are not strictly limited to BB and GGXRD, we do have the occasional Uniel and P4A, we usually will bring those out whenever people want to play them. Because we are such a small group of players, it would help a lot if anyone new can bring set ups.

I'm in WA, across the lake from Seattle (somewhere from Woodinville to Kent). I'm just a low-level player though; I'm still getting used to an arcade stick, hammering out static execution, and learning fundamentals. I wouldn't mind getting blown up if it means I can get a little better at these games.

I'm currently playing the three main ASW games, but I also have many others (DoA5LR, Tekken, VF5FS, AH3LM, USF4, KOF13, UNIEL, JJBA (ASB), Aquapazza, etc.).

Is it my imagination, or has the local scene died out here? I don't read any more news of monthly tournaments anymore, let alone casual meet-ups.

Scene is very much alive and strong. I don't think many of us still check Dustloop anymore. There is a PNW airdasher group on facebook or something. They just started doing monthly tournaments at Highline Community college. Our BB and GG scenes are actually pretty strong. Not sure who you should contact at the moment tho. The next monthly is after EVO.

Oh. I don't really do Facebook or Twitter. Never been interested in that stuff.

I'm 10 years too early to enter any tournament (I would go just to watch and chat with the players), but I can probably do casuals. I could use some coaching to get over the beginner's hump. I especially want to avoid developing any more bad habits from doing too much netplay.

Casuals are fine. Tournaments are not really about winning for the most part. There are only 4-5 guys who can realistically win each tournament honestly. They are more for fun and giving a reason or objective to improve on.

But yea. I'll try to find out the next tournament. I think it's like 25th of July or something like that for the next one at Highline. Don't quote me tho. I'll ask someone on Wednesday about where to direct you.

Figured I would put this here since it is the thread encompassing whatever scene there is in Idaho.

Local tourny if anyone is interested. Free entry with a small cash prize for first, second, and third =D Feel free to PM me or post on the linked thread if you wish to compete.
