Moy_X7 Report post Posted October 28, 2011 No tips or strategies here. It's your gimmicks against its gimmicks, your resets against its resets, who pushes that j.C button first and lands a CH. It's all about who the better player is as well as your knowledge as a Jin player.
Moy_X7 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 Actually there are a few tips I can give out: See if your opponent is reset heavy and know your reset points, here are some common ones: j.D > Land > Reset Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react j.D > Land > AUB 5B/5C Answer: Barrier block j.D > AD > j.D (cross-under) Answer: React to the cross-under 5B > Mix-up Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react 5A > Mix-up Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react j.2C > Intentional Drop > Low/Mix-up Answers: 6B, DP D, back dash, up+back, react 6D > Empty Jump mix-up Answers: DP D, guess lol (Airborne) 5C > 5D > 236D > Empty Jump mix-up Answers: Same as above Also, use OS DP B/C bait if he doesn't have the meter for DP D. So if the other Jin thinks he's smug by doing some dumb shit like 214A > DP B/C or 6C > DP B/C, then do 2A+4B. If you hit him, you'll automatically confirm into 5B. If you whiff the 2A during DP C's lol start-up, then you'll block it and be able to punish it.
Jyosua Report post Posted May 24, 2012 Additionally, particular points of interest for resets are during the 5Bs at the end of DP loops (and midscreen j.D>AD>j.2C>j.C>5B>stuff combos), and there's an obvious reset that involves two 6Ds in the corner, but I have the feeling this can be modified to make it less obvious. Also Moy is obviously not talking about me when he mentions 6C>DP C.
Moy_X7 Report post Posted May 24, 2012 I'll just leave the 5B > mix-up as is. You can reset off 5B with every combo that allows you to 5B near the end. For the 2 6Ds, you just do 5A > mix-up or 5Ax2 > mix-up depending on the starter and proration. I already have it as "5A > mix-up". A lot of Jins do that 6C > DP stupid shit, I do it too but with DP D and the corner to at least get something out of it lol.
