[CS2] Hazama vs. Taokaka

Recommended Posts

I kind of hope to get bodied by a Tao one day, as a sort of justice for all of the other Taokaka's who have been completely bodied by me online. Poor Tao. But really though it's the player's faults for just not being very good :(

From what I can gather Tao basically has to try and bait our chains and anti-airs as much as possible and wait for her hit. This matchup really SEEMS to suck for Tao but i'm not truly sure how much it actually does.

That said, the go-to anti airs for this match are 5a and 5c. 5a is a bit risker vs. Tao because it can get beat pretty often. Keep her scared of 5c, and use 2c sparingly as well.

5a is good for getting out of pressure sometimes. 5c is also a good poke because it's quick. See a pattern here? Plus if you're really good and you score a 5c counterhit you actually get a free relaunch. Wow!

Chasing around Tao is like, well, chasing around Tao. She has superior air mobility and doesn't have a stock number for her drive. You should be trying to keep her out half of the time and working pressure the other half, just be ready to start the assault once you gain momentum. She has to respect 6d, 4d, j5d, and 5d. You don't want to be predictable with these. Use a stock or two if you have to. :HZ:

I agree with Shazam, anti-airs are definitely your friend in this match-up. 5C and 2C as well as well-timed DP-kicks make her drives and other air pressure moves eat shit. Good Tao's can mix you up pretty well, though, and other than 5a, 5b, or 2a, Hazama doesn't have many answers to getting out of pressure. Be careful with your mobility, though, because her supers can catch you easily if you get too liberal with chaining in or around, especially the grab super.

Thing to note is that good Taos will not came straight at you, and if you throw out 5C and she baits it, she can use your whiff to get in.

Tao...don't chase Tao, always be alert for grabs or resets from that cat.

Personally, its not her mobility or drive that annoys me. Its actually her Crawl stance..

A timed crawl slips under most air hits, Jabaki, Rassenga,etc...even Haz's 2A. щ(゚Д゚щ)

So don't get too A happy on her on pressure.

You can try to control space just chains, but it feels like paper-rock-sissors to me.

Still worth a try than to chase her or airpoke(bad idea).

And when he does get a hit, I think Haz should go all-in. Lower-health and no DP, along with seizing crucial match momentum makes it worth it.
