This guy is fucking awesome, watching him really reminds me of why I love this character so much. People who are still learning, be more like that guy.

Okay, I'll do it.

You fight like a netplayer. There I said it.

What does that mean you ask?

Bad pressure, bad hitconfirms, bad combo routes, bad oki, bad neutral.

Hope this helps <3

Lol Guymam. Anyway, I'll try and give some advice.

During your strings, you should try to apply more pressure by resetting after his advantageous moves while being ambiguous. You tend to go straight into the C moves during your blockstrings, which limit the moves you can use afterwards, causing easier reads on what you may attempt to do next. Also, try and decrease the amount of 3Cs you use. You seem to be trying to fish for CH, but, in some instances, you got CH instead.

You sometimes go for some unnecessary resets during your combos (example: x > 5C > ressenga/zaneiga), instead of going for 3C > jabaki/ressenga for oki.

Be mindful of your drive habits and the drive stocks. You tend to use the same/similar approach patterns when chaining in and, in some instances, you had no stock to make a move, leaving you open for free hits.

While it may tag out some moves, you should really try not throwing out distortions randomly. It's best to save the meter for combos or a guaranteed punish.

For the TK hirentotsu after a knockdown... I think I understand what you're trying to go for, but, compared to the other options Hazama has okizeme wise, it doesn't really seem worth the risk/resources. Blocking it means a free punish or using up 50 heat for a decent combo later on in the match. While it may work a couple times (remember it working on me), his other oki options are just a lot better.

Any other inputs/corrections to what I posted are appreciated. I'm still learning a lot, myself.

I've only watched the Carl match.

Other than wrong oki and combo routes which you could easily learn by just reading the technical thread as well as the combo one (for example in the first few seconds of the first round you hit him in the corner with 5b 5c and he was airborne, right there you could have 214d~b dash 5c 6c hiren loop and that would have been a free 3k+) your pressure and neutral were indeed kind of lacking.

Don't chain around with no purpose, especially in the Carl match up it's just suicide.

You should have been running away versus Carl, instead you often tried to go in even when you had the life lead, in the first round you had like 90% while he had 30%, and you nearly lost that because you tried to go in instead of laming it out.

Hazama can barely do anything against Carl's CoN pressure, you should try to get in based on one of his mistakes/random chain hitconfirm, get the knockdown and not let him go, if you lose that chance just go back to fullscreen/neutral but stay on the ground, if you are mindlessly chaining around it's way too easy to run into some random Carl's stuff like Brio, 8D, Fuoco or whatever.

Also try to use 2A/5B stagger pressure a lot more, although pay attention to any IB > 2A mash as that can definitely ruin your pressure (Carl and Tao 2A are pretty good/decent in this regard, as if the match ups weren't already bad enough because of the neutral game :arg:).

And don't bother with random 3C/Hountejin.

Honestly I'm just a bad Hazama player with rush down tactics that linger off of my Ragna style. My chains are obvious for the most part but people don't punish it enough which requires me to change it up some, my approach is all momentum based and I can't help but think Hazama normals really privileges the character to do so. I'm against running away and boring out the whole match for the victory, I know most of the corner confirms but sometimes net play won't allow me to follow through with all of them.

I'll change of the habit and post up some more videos later, if Hazama is meant to play the keep away game it's more or less not the character for me.
