[CS2] Ragna Community Blood Kain Combo Video

The following idea has been shamelessly stolen from the Tsubaki forums community combo video

So, now that we got the tutorial video out of the way, I had a great idea. Why don't we collab together on a combo video? You know, show off our Ragna combo fiending skillz together?

Unfortunately, normal Ragna has already been done too many times, or most CVs are a mix of normal Ragna and Blood Kain combos (All of which are kinda standard). I figure if we all put our minds together, we could come up with much more creative combos, as well ask kinda show off the DL Ragna board members to the world. How it'd work is we all post combos we'd like to submit to the video, the color we'd like our Ragna to be represented by (already called dibs on CT Green), and I (or someone else, if everyone would rather have that) will record the footage and put it together.

I wouldn't mind putting this video together, I've already done two combo videos, so you guys can decide if you like my style of editting or not. As for song choice, we can decide that as we go, I'd hate to pick one that we'd all have to go by.

If no one wants to do this idea, that's fine, I just thought it'd be a fun little project we could do together as we wait for CS2 to die out and for Extend to hit our shores.

I'll keep the first post updated with combos and who posted them.

Keep in mind for the combos

  1. Must use Blood Kain (whether you already start out in it or go into it as part of the combo is up to you)
  2. Can use up to two Gold Bursts (Doesn't have to use any, but can only use up to two of them)
  3. Can use up to 150% (assuming you use 100% and then build another 50 heat through the combo)
  4. Must be creative (We all already know how the standard stuff goes, lets see some fun things, it doesn't have to do a lot of damage or anything.)

I've got a neat tool in mind I'm sure a lot of Ragna mains don't know about. Granted, it's not combo-related, but I'm sure we can find a place for it in the video (it *does* involve Blood Kain). :3 That said, I don't know a WHOLE lot about Burger King combos, but I'll mess around in Training and see if I can come up with anything fun. For the moment, I have:

(Tager only) 3C (Fatal Counter), Blood Kain, [Dash, 5B, 5C, jC, slightly delayed jD] x 3, D. Inferno Divider (2 Hit), Follow-Up, Ax Kick, Air Gauntlet Hades, Delayed Spin Kick, 6D, j.C Berial Edge, Dash, 5D (2 Hit), Dead Spike, Dash, 5D (2 Hit), Devoured by Darkness. 6173 Damage, uses 100 Heat, builds 40 along the way.

I'll see what else I can come up with after this weekend, and go ahead and call dibs on Orange/Red CT Ragna. :P Awesome idea, Lumin. It's gonna be a lot of fun working on this. <3

Well, we've already got my mid-combo activation death combo.

Corner Only Combo

100% Heat and 2 Break Bursts Required

CH 214D, (dash) 6D (JC), A+B+C+D, slight dash A+B+C+D, 214214D, dash 3C, 22C (RC), 6D, j.D (whiff), 5D (1), 214D, 6D, j.D (whiff), 5D (1), 214B -> delay 214D, 6D, j.623D (2) -> 236C -> 214D, falling j.D, j.214C, 5D (DC), 5D, 214214D

Damage: 11017 or 11036, Heat Gain: 57, Health Gain: 2375

Notes: Crouching opponent only. j.623D must hit twice in order to build the necessary amount of Heat to activate the 214214D at the end of the combo. Very strict Blood Kain timer.

Default Ragna, keeping it simple.

Edit: And yes, I know it's not the most creative combo, but it hurts a lot and the opening is a little non-standard. I'll try to come up with some more creative stuff later.

Jack I'm gonna reply about the PM here:

The catch is extremely simple about BK, as long you dont return to neutral state (standing sprite) you still in BK mode, without its buff but you still can DbD. you dont "leave" the current animation(crouching, walking, running, 5D) BK will last.

Edit; Well nvm, walking forward 214214D = DbD, walking forward 6B 214214D = BK

seems you must not skip the current animation

I think the video should show some reality.

Blood Kain when about to lose. then chase the opponent around for the entire duration of it. The get killed by a 5/2/ja.

Alright, it's gonna suck to be LuminBro with this one.. probably I'm just tired/blind or just suck but I couldnt finish this combo with a DD. There goes:

You can finish that with 5D(1) > DbD if you change that last 623D to 623C. That combo isn't too bad, I was able to get it just now. Good shit bro!

Okay, so the middle part of this combo is basically the same as the bread and butter, but all things considered, there's really no better alternative.

Corner Only Combo

100% Heat and 1 Break Burst Required

CH 2D, (dash) 214214D, 2C, 5C, 5D (1), 214D, 6D, j.D (whiff), 5D (1), 214B -> delay 214D, 6D, j.623D (2) -> 236C -> 214D, falling j.D (JC), j.D, j.214C, 5D, 214A -> 214D, 5D (1), 214A -> 214D, 2141236C

Damage: 21247, Heat Gain: 53 (50 during Blood Kain)

Notes: Unlimited Tager only (you heard me). You have basically forever to dash up, activate Blood Kain and continue the rest of the combo after CH 2D, but make sure you're in a position to land the 2C immediately after the super freeze finishes, as the Blood Kain timer is very strict. Oh, and naturally, Tager has to be at 35% of his HP Gauge when you start.

Now I found something silly using CH 6B, you can dash 5B after it to continue your combos. It's just odd looking.

Btw LuminBro that combo contains 6 6C's, if you double gold burst in order to sacrifice a 6C then a DbD finisher is possible. For the 6 version, finish by looping Heel Drop 3 times or so then the dummy will tech right after the final j.D.

I already found a DbD finisher for your other combo, but if the double gold burst makes it easier, then I'll probably do that version, thanks man.\

I found four combos already for myself, though one of them is just an Inferno Divider loop for 4k. I'll post them up in a bit.

I had another combo earlier up that also specified my colour. Default Ragna.

Edit: Also, whoops, there's no Dash Cancel after the 5D (2) in the Unlimited Tager combo. Mistype.

I think we need an unique and recognizable song. It wont feel good if we're reffered as "That Ragna combo video with rock song on it", since there are many like these. We need SOMETHING MEMORABLE THAT WE CAN BE REFFERED AS.

86~100 Heat and 2 Break bursts required

FC 2C, 6B, 5C, 6C (DC), [Gold burst]x2, 6B (RC), 5B, 5D(1), BK!, 5B, 5D(1), 623D~Heel Drop, falling j.D, j.214B delay 214D, land delay 6B, 22C, dash 5A 5B 3C, [Hell's Loop]x2, 6B 22C dash 5A.

Notes:

-Tested on Hazama, probably works on every FC'd 22C dash 5A'able character.

-You must hit with the upmost tip of j.D. Delay it as much as possible. Too much delay and you'll get a grounded GH instead.

-For the 6B after Keri Age, you must hit with the very tip of Ragna's leg. Too late, and the dummy will ground-tech before 22C kicks-in. Same for every launch pick-up 6B.

Also, can we adopt commas instead of brackets? Iunno, feels somewhat cleaner...
