N8 DMN Report post Posted December 13, 2013 dude thats badass, thanks for sharing your experience. I just read your blog about mikado as well, sounds intense...reminds me of when I faced kokujin, umezono and haitani in 3rd Strike, the way they play feels more like going up against a brick wall compared to who I've faced before then in the U.S. Makes you completely re think the game and what you have been doing up until now. Can't wait to visit Japan, I bet your getting pretty nasty training up at the arcades like that!
qwerty Report post Posted December 13, 2013 I'm actually currently writing a post on the key differences between American and Japanese players, as well as the reasons for those differences. The two biggest things by far are Japanese player's ability to change their playstyle immediately (whereas Americans typically change between rounds/matches/sets) and their superior offense. In simplest terms, playing against Americans feels like a well-rehearsed routine, whereas Japanese players will freestyle once the pace of the match is in their favor. qwerty Report post Posted December 16, 2013 Been awhile since I added anything to the playlist, or even had the time to watch matchvids. Enjoy, and pay close attention to how Satou spaces himself; it may save your life.
brett_ Report post Posted January 20, 2014 If you can update your first post, as I mentioned in a post over a year ago, MK's color is White. In +R, Jonio uses the white bandito color (white with red highlights) and DC now uses the zombie color I believe.
N8 DMN Report post Posted January 31, 2014 Ive seen jonio even recently still uses multiple other colors like the yellow, leprechaun green, satou green, blue i think. Cant rly tell label him by his color choice

qwerty Report post Posted February 8, 2017 RESURRECTION Finally added videos to the first post, after all these years. I was reminded of this thread as I was going on a matchvid binge and figured I'd finally update it. Unfortunately, most of the +R Johnny players have either moved on or quit altogether, so it's not going to be easy to find more videos from here on out. I certainly don't play as much as I used to, either.
