If you wall splat the opponent from far (like after a midscreen FBPB or 623K-charged 236K) do a HS puffball. You missed some great opportunuties. Go for some tick throws if the opponent is blocking. And FFS, block on wakeup! You're eating almost all meaties.

I can't Point out too many things against Baiken. But I know A few things.

1. No reason to Do So Many Puffballs Against Baiken. (Ez To Counter)

Yeah I know, bad habit...but there was some method to it

2. Need to Practice that wall loop. Should be able to do it up to 3x.

Not really, I know how to do the loop, it's just pretty awkward with Baiken and I keep forgetting her variation just as I'm about to do it

3. Should try to bait counter and look for a parry or CH.

I do bait counters, alot, if you spotted them that is

4. i'll Normally Mix up 6k(2hit/1hit( depends )) into a 2d or 5d(only if you got that man afraid of low dust lol.) RC that low dust into a big combo and they will be scared of it.

RC'ing 2D is a waste of tension; either go for 236S>K>236K or FRC the 2D if you're good enough Also, 6k into 2p is alot better than 2D or 5D; the Baiken I play has good reaction and will block and counter.

5. Need to work on your AA, watching the video ic sure damage you could be doing.

( AA c.S/f.S > JI > j.d > 214k or AA c.S/f.S > JI > j.S > jc > j.H > 236k (charged if you have it for nice damage) then continue for a wall loop into a mixup/crossup oki.

Anti-Air Baiken's j.HS? Lol. The only viable thing you mentioned is 236S>HS which is something I do, but not enough, so yeah thanks for that. Airthrow is also an option, and is also why he jumps into me alot less (well, mainly because of my parry actually)

May.. I don't fight a good may enough to know what to do. I'll just give you bad habits.

Heard when May do random dolphins, you can 6P them.Yeah, but so do alot of things. One very important thing I forgot though, is how good 2S is against both May's horizontal and vertical dolphins

If you wall splat the opponent from far (like after a midscreen FBPB or 623K-charged 236K) do a HS puffball. You missed some great opportunuties.

I already do all of that :psyduck:

Go for some tick throws if the opponent is blocking.

I go for them, but not enough yeah

And FFS, block on wakeup! You're eating almost all meaties.Lmao yeah, I'm very impatient! I don't wanna block, just parry and CH everything lol

Thanks guys, I was looking for more match-up advice though, but it's okay.

H'okay. I want to learn how to... uh... actually play Jam. (The time for dicking around is over!) And by that I mean not necessarily combos or anything like that, but matchup stuff, strategy, approach, etc. So I know damn well that just watching any old Japanese player won't do me any good. There are Japanese scrubs too. So who's good? I know like... Mike and KA2, but that's about it.

LOX and Kazu have some matches on Youtube. Kaqn also played some matches with Jam. Check SBO'08 videos, there were quite some great Jam matches by (for me) semi-unknown players.

Don't rely on 5HS and 6HS as a pressure tool. Do more 2P, 2K and 5Ks. Learn TK versions of 236k and 214K if doing them from the ground. They are both faster and 214K can be easily juggled after. After a j./TK 214K connects you have some options for continuing. Dash-in f.S jk j.K j.D 214K works always. Dash-in 2H FBPB 236S-HS into wall loop works if you did the 214K from a pretty low IAD. And learn the combos that work on Sol. His weird hitbox makes him hard-as-hell-to-impossible to juggle normally.

- When charging a ryuujin kick after the 2d, don't do: 2D, 22+K You'll waste precious frames and get punished! Do 2D2K instead. (press "k" on hit confirm, and punch or nothing on guard). - learn parry - learn when to burst, depending on your matchup (you screwed it up a couple of times) - Don't jump on Sol on wake up, unless you are sure he'll vv, in that case use FD! There are good ideas in your game, but you lack execution (you've screwed up sooo many opportunities to rape his ass!) - learn the right timing for blocked 6HS links pressure and don't hesitate to throw! - Use 5K more, especially against Sol! it beats a lot of his moves clean. Just practice more, and you'll get the hang of it.

My friend was confused for a long time why he never had time to charge after hitting with 2D...the key is to know that you're canceling 2D into the charge (charge is a special move just like any other special move), not waiting for the 2D to end and then charging.

Sorry if that sounds obvious, but my friend was unaware of that for a long time, so...:eng101:

Finally taking this game seriously and need to know what i should work on.

Thanks

On http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQAVmBw38Z0:

0:36 - Finish your combo with FBPB or continue it with another rep and end with 6HS.

0:45 - 6HS(ch) continue with 6P into wall combo.

0:57 - after 5D, 3xj.HS, jS,jP,jS,jc,jS,JHS,236K.

Aim for max damage whenever you can when you hit.

Any vids I should look at to learn Jam's basic combos and loops? I've been looking all over the forums here but can't seen to find them. D: Also, with Jam's dust, I've never been able to get 3xj.HS, j.S. The most I can do is 2xj.HS, j.S. Am I doing something wrong?

Who has style that is easy to understand, effective and has very few bad habits? They may not be the best Jam, but they have a very good understanding of the basics.

Teresa Jam is doing a pretty good job at beating everyone up at recent events, so I've started doing compilation videos of all the matches I'm finding.

[GGAC] てれさ Jam #1

[GGAC] てれさ Jam #2

I'll eventually do more of those as I get more matches in, anyone interested can keep an eye on this Jam specific playlist for easy matchvideo delivery.

Alright, sweet! I wasn't a big fan of Teresa really, glad to see he's doing well with Jam though.
