[CP] Jin Combo Thread

Recommended Posts

You're probably talking about TK Hizansen combos. Well on some characters dashing the 2B isnt needed, which is the main difficulty on that combo. I have yet to try it on all characters but Ragna is one of them.

5B> 5C> (2C)> 3C> 214B> dash 5B> delay 5C> TK 214C> (dash) 2B> 5C> 6C> 6D> 6C> 22C> 5B(1)> 22C

Does like 3.6k and gives you the best Oki options.

I got some training mode time in the other day and was able to list what combos work on who for the following combos. Let me know if I got anything wrong.

Throw > j.2C > j.C > j.2C > j.C

Amane, Arakune, Azrael, Hakumen, Hazama, Litchi, Mu, Ragna, Relius, Tager, Terumi, Tsubaki, Valkenhayn

5C > j.2C > j.C Fatal Loops

Carl, Izayoi, Jin, Kagura, Noel, Nu, Platinum, Rachel, Taokaka, all of the above Throw combo except Ragna

5C > 2C > j.2C > j.C Fatal Loops

Bang, Bullet

5B(1) > 2C > j.2C > j.C Fatal Loops

Kokonoe, Makoto, Ragna

just thought i'd share that 5B(1) > 2C > j.2C > j.C works on the 3 characters that couldn't be looped before. yay!

6C-CT-TK214D-6C-cOD-6C-6D-6B-j.214C-6C-22C-5C-3C-623D-3C-632146C

for 8468 damage.

More versatile than 6C-623B, which gets only 3 ice wave hits on most of the cast, but only works if you have <10% health.

Does anyone have any tips for connecting 6D in the corner after doing 214B 5B 5C 2C 6C (6D) If I omit the 2C it's really easy but I see so many Jin's doing this and I can't figure out how to get it connect, they always just tech out right before they land on it.

This is all starting from 5B/2B not 5A/2A

You have to delay 6C since juggling them with three normals prior to it launches them pretty high.

I wouldn't recommend using this route though, if you want an easier and better route for freeze resets do this:

5B > 5C > 2C > 3C > Musou > 5B(1) > 5C > Sekka > 5B(1) > 5C > 6C > 6D

3101 dmg, 22 meter as opposed to your combo from the same starter which yields 2939 dmg and 21 meter.

Also, the optimal route if you want freeze resets or Sekka ender:

5B > 5C > 2C > 3C > Musou > (66) 5B > 5C > TK Hizansen > (66) 2B > 5C > 6C > 6D

3301 dmg, 23 meter.

Thanks a bunch for this I shall work on these right away :D

Try 5B > 5C > OD > 5B > 5C > dash > throw > AH . (Astral as soon as opponent leaves the ground from throw if not tech-ed) This might be able to go into Astral but the throw is tech-able , so if you're lucky that the guy doesn't tech then congrats , you win

It's a link, that's why it's a bit more difficult than simple gatlings/cancels. You'll just have to get used to knowing just when you can act again after you recover from j.D, practice makes perfect.

Anyone got some good jin resets that don't use Hizangeki? I know the corner (OD) 5B(2) > 5C > 6C > 6B one. Anyone got some more?

Dunno if you're looking specifically for OD resets or not. Here's some regular resets though.

(In corner)

- stuff > 6C > 6D > empty jump > 2B/6A/(air dash) j.2C

- stuff > 6C > 6D > d.5B(2) > IAD crossover j.2C

- stuff > 6C > 214B > [5B(1) > 5C > sekka]x2 > 5B(1) > IAD j.2C/throw

- 5C > 6C > 214B > 5B(1) > 5C > 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 5D > dash > 6A/2B/throw mixup

- stuff > 6C > 6D > IAD j.2C > 3C (I wouldn't do this without 50 meter on the off-chance that they block low after j.2C)

You can honestly just freestyle and get a decent reset off of almost any Jin bnb lololol. Some require you to play with a bit more bravery though.

Ah yeah I know all of these. I know jin pretty well. I actually meant I was looking for OD resets. Thanks for the help though!

I am learning Jin and am new.  Are all the ones on the front page accurate still?  Just looking for beginner stuff, seems most people do 5b(s) > 5c > 3c instead of 5b > 2b > 5c > 3c?

I'm not a Jin player, but it's probably for easier hit confirms. Adding 2B makes most combos either drop or unnecessarily hard for no increase damage or actually a decrease in damage. It's only really beneficial for standing midscreen confirms and even then, it's not significantly more damage. If you decide to never use 2B, you don't have to decide on how to confirm the hit until 5C, which means you can be lazy.

The combos on the front page could use some optimization here and there, but they're still relevant, and good for those who are new to the character.

5B-5C-2C-3C-(Ender) is better for midscreen damage than 5B-2B-5C-3C-(Ender), but doesn't work later on in combos or for 3C-Sekkajin ender. 5B-5C-3C-214B-C has better oki than the other two for Musou-followup ender, but does less damage. 5B-2B-5C-3C-22C is optimal for 3C-Sekkajin oki (Except against Tager), and 2B-5B-5C-22C gives the best oki for standing Sekkajin ender. Your best bet for Musou (no followup) is 5B-5C-2C-3C-214B.

You can choose whatever oki suits you, I personally go for either Musou-followup for the heat, or 3C-Sekkajin (into either IAD j.2C to catch rolls, or dash 2B-5B(1)-22C to catch late techs) for screen carry.

j.2C > 5B (1) > 5C > sj.B > j.C > j.D > dash under 5B > aerial > Hizansen works for me but not on all opponents, doesn't work on Hakumen for example iirc

(-)6C-214B-5C-2C-(Delay)TK214C-662B-5C-6C-6D-6C-22C-

662B-5B(1)-22C For CH confirms (j.2C, j.C, j.B, 5B(1), 2B, 5C, 2C ) (Substitute with 5B(2)-22C VS Tager)

662B-22C For fast crouching confirms and slow hits (5B(1)-5C, 2B-5C, j.B-5C, j.2C-5C, 6BCH) (Substitute with 6C-(Delay) 22C-665B(1)-22C VS Tager)

For slow confirms (5B(2)-5C, 5C-2C, 6B-5C, (j.2C, j.B)-5B(1)-5C), follow up with a second Sekkajin if you want to give up roll safe j.2C in exchange for damage. Otherwise, end it as is.

This should be the optimal heatless Sekkajin ender combo under any circumstance, doing just a bit less than the Hizansen ender.

Sorry for all the parentheses, haha.
