ajinkris Report post Posted August 29, 2008 Oh sorry its in Assasin at 1:47. Also ahhh that makes sense. Did you see the random almost fight? During the team tourney? Or was it in singles where I sucked it up even more? Also is NNN written like that in the video titles? or is there some kanji or something? I saw some of your fights, I don't recall anything in particular. lol you were doing alright, just a bit unconventional to what I'm used to seeing (but then again, everyone's slayer is kinda different) NNN can be found in the a-cho (I think) 23v23 best. Like, NNN/Nanashi/N-O vs. 3 millias (nakamura/woshige/someone) and vs. 3 testaments (someone/mint/shounen). NNN goes by neko in some fights (I think that's what his alias was for SBO 2007 dvd). He plays the yellow-green/white Venom color for reference.
Ross Report post Posted August 29, 2008 Okay cool. I found some. He does some funny combos. Much less umm "solid" than N.O. but really cool.
ky0n01 Report post Posted October 9, 2008 added some stuff BURST WHIFF 1. 5K > 2D *burst missed* 2. cS > jump cancel *burst missed* 3. from throw> 6P > 6H RC *burst missed* DARK ANGEL FEINT 5K> 2D > (dash close enough and summon DARK ANGEL). the trick here is that when Venom summons a DA, he takes another step huge step. bec of this, it creates an illusion that venom is on throw range, making it tempting to throw you lolz. sweetvids Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Interesting but at this point not very useful since most of the balls fly backward. Now if someone could find away to make most of the balls fly towards the corner then that'd be insane. Initial setup is nice, simple and elegant though. The ball that flies forward will keep the opponent blocking while giving time to summon the others. Will probably have to look into this. Does anyone have the link to N.O.'s blog? I'd like to read more and what his response is to that. :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:

axel Report post Posted October 23, 2008 えぬ (Enu) is indeed N-O himself. It should be pretty clear since he always replies to comment under this nick. And to ky0n01, a good player isn't necessarily a good teacher.

ansem Report post Posted November 17, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5vqEM4Hnlw around 1:47 how can you do that very fast and without ducking and after doing a move -venom n00b
4r5 Report post Posted November 17, 2008 It is ducking. Also, programmable joystick.
>_< Report post Posted November 17, 2008 Also, programmable joystick. I've seen N_O do similar shit tho, maybe not to that degree tho with all the 66[2]c.S8X4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1Ffm6UoVsI I think its nanashi I'm thinking about?
DubiousCurvLoop Report post Posted November 17, 2008 Yes, that is Nanashi. The thing that sets what Nanashi does in that vid, and the one from the Outstanding Combo Clips is in the combo clips, Venom is dashing in, while maintaining the charge, while nanashi is just doing it without the dash. I know that when you do c.s -> carcass -> c.s -> carcass, there's actually a bit of leeway for inputting the carcass. You can go to neutral for a bit, and the charge is still kept. However, if you apply this to the combo clips scenario, you'd have to do something like this: [2] c.s -> 8s -> 6[3] c.s -> 8s -> 6[3] c.s -> 8s I don't know whether that be humanly possible or not, but I know that I can't do that, maybe because I'm a pad player? You'd have to do 6[3] in about the same amount of time that it would take to go from 8s to charging 2 in the standard c.s -> carcass reps. Correct me if I'm wrong on (I know I probably got the notation wrong).
axel Report post Posted November 17, 2008 Actually that's Zakiyama.
ky0n01 Report post Posted November 18, 2008 No, that's actually me. Anyway, that running charge is harder than it looks.. I've got a theory on how to do it, but I just can't seem to do it... When you are in crouching position you cannot input the dash 6[3] without going neutral. And when you go neutral you only have like 3 frames to input a carcass/stinger move. Since its impossible to do 6[3] without losing the charge, I came up with the conclusion that they charge> 66> carcass raid. I'm not sure of this, but this two inputs are the only way to do it i think.... edit: I did it! just kiddin. i can't really do a running carcass. all i can do is a walking carcass.. my input is: 2*charge* > 3 > 6 > carcass raid this stuff is really frustrating.... Guardian Report post Posted December 3, 2008 Ok, I need help. I'm having trouble getting the 2D, s carcass~5k/5p link. I can do sometimes, around 30% consistency, but I'd like to have it at 80-90%. Suggestions? I also find myself doing too many ball summons at neutral, which I know is a bad habit. Are there any safe ball summons from neutral? I know you get free ones after combos, blocked Dark Angel, etc. Finally, what are his defensive options and counter pokes? I know 5S(f), 2S, and 6P are good, but does he have anything to get close in fighters off of him (Sol, HOS, Slayer, etc)? I know I'm going to lose alot trying to get good w/ this character, but I'd like to try and trim the fat somewhat lol

I know I'm going to lose alot trying to get good w/ this character, but I'd like to try and trim the fat somewhat lol You have to be close enough to do it and you have to be on the corner. Safe summons? There aren't too many but it depends to whom you're fighting. 5S> Summon Stinger aim> Summon Carcass r> Summon air summon dubious curve in a string I recommend using K>S ball formation when zoning since it covers a lot of space. Venom only have his might long poke (5s,2S), 6P and his balls. If you're fighting characters like sol, hos just pressure them while keeping them at bay and try to bait their AA. As for slayer, you need moar balls again. K>S combination works well. But don't try to rush summon. Summoning just one at a time is better when you're opponent is neutral because by the time you summoned your second ball they are already close enough.
