[CP2] Carl loketest discussion

It seem that Ryusei and Eesuke dropped Carl...

What is the consensus about this character in CP2? is still strong?... By the look of it, seem weaker than 1.1 Carl, let hope the UB loop is real!

So since 3D doesn't trip anymore, could we still set up the old UB with it?

 

j.B>j.2C~allecancel>5B>5C>3D>j.B>j.A>665A>5B>2B>5C>46D>j.AAAA>j.2C>j.AA>j.B+3D

 

into:

j.B+3D>6C>5B>6B>6A>j.2C~Allecancel>66A>j.2C>allecancel>5B>2B>5C>46D>j.AAAA>j.2C>j.AA>j.B+3D

 

(start pushing towards you with doll after the 6C) 

 

I imagine it could look something like that. and then you can go into some doll recovery route with CT or gear super ender or something when doll meter gets too low.

your combos are so...

 

different

 

 

I have to adjust some combos to be easier on pad since i can't exactly do some inputs people can on stick.

3D forces crouching while Tenerezza lost its force stand property so that combo won't work.

I think that's what the 6C is for at the start, to force stand.

I'm not sure a solid UB safejump > 6C really combos. I used to try it on some characters in Extend but the timing on the high/low was pretty different and definitely blockable.

I'm fairly sure our best bet for UB loops will involve a crush trigger though.

Yea a crush trigger route will most definitely work but i was hoping to come up with a meterless solution thats easy to go into.

maybe that will work? Forgot about 3D force crouch when i thought of the first combo.

Oops, missed the 6C, my bad.

 

...actually, do we know if it still forces standing? I haven't been any 6Cs hit from the (limited) amount of vids I've watched.

I completely forgot that 3D force crouches now

 

I'm surprised most people aren't really using that and 6C/6C feint more.

 

Then again, there are only like 3 Carl payers now on Youtube/NicoNico
