[P4AU] Akihiko - Combo Thread

How on earth do you connect a sweep into sonic upper B o-o

 

What part of the jb loops are giving you trouble specifically?

All of it, When I hit the counter 2B I can't do any follow up (unless I do thunder fists and still I can't do a lot...)

 

I didn't undertand the question of  the sweep into sonic upper xD

5AA > 2B > 5B > Killrush A > 8A > 4A > 6C > 2AB > 8B > 4B(full) > 8B > 4D > 2C/6B > B Upper

2AB is a sweep, you are going from a weave, to a sweep, to sonic upper B (8B).

 

If you get a 2b counter hit, try to jump back at the moment it connects by jump cancelling (so 2B, hold up back), then air dash (66) and catch the dude with jB

Hum.. that seems like a plan i'll work on it. And BTW should I master a FC combo ? I keep using the autopilot FC combo, but I dunno if i can keep doing it, but my problem is in 2.0 5B will no longer be fatal so I don't want to waste time learning a combo that will be completly impossible

You should, even if 5b isnt a fatal anymore, it'll improve your coordination, and later on when 5b fc is removed we'll find new routes and though you'll have to relearn them, you'll have the skill necessary to do so.

This is probably the wrong place for this question but do you have to be a mod to make a thread?

 

Cause I think it'd be cool if we had an Akihiko critique thread. We could help each other improve our game even more so one day we can all be World Boxing Champs.

You don't have to be a mod, but if you want me to I can make one for you. If you do make one however, it's fine by me, and I in fact encourage people to be active in the forums (as long as all rules are being followed  :) )

Finally I can make the BETA Fc combo xD Any tip where I should improve ?
ATM I am making:
5B > 236c > 4B > 6C > DP > 2A > 2B > hyper jump > J.b (1st hit) > 214B (air) > 6D > 8B > 6D > 4A > 8A > 4D > 6B >Super

 

It's kinda easier to do than those 7k punish combos, but still better than the auto pillot, and I think it's kinda easier to start by doing this :)

Start by making ^ those changes I highlighted on your quote. Also, it deals more damage in the end if you do 8A>weave>4A>cork B instead of 4a>8a but, yeah.

This was a corner combo posted a while back, I was wondering if it could be changed to a 150 meter combo(however practical that may be).

I got something like this, but is it fully optimized?

5B>66>2A>5AA>weave C>sonic B>duck C>weave C>sonic A>hook SB>sonic SB>weave D>hook B> duck C>DP>2B>j.B>5B(1)>killrush B>hook A>weave C>cork A>Uppercut B x2 - 8345 dmg

That's pretty much the best 150 meter route I know of, so yes. You should probably drop that weave D>hook B and change it to simply [hook B] (charged max hook B) since it has (I THINK) 0 P2 proration, and thus the combo deals more damage.

Also change that killrush B>hook A>weave>cork A to killrush B>weave >hook A> cork A

 

small change but adds a bit more damage

Quick note, I did some experimenting with your route, your route will work perfectly and is the best on all characters except for the charged B hook - adding both hits of 5b wont work, thus killrush B must be cancelled into hook and not weave since both 5B hits are required to let kill B>weave>hook work.

 

with the full charged B hook it deals 8.423 damage.

 

on tall characters you can do instead of 2b>jb>5b(1)> etc 5b>duck>dp>2a>killrush A>hook>weave>cork A> 2x upper for more damage too (for 8482 damage)
