Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel

Recommended Posts

Are there any long range/trap based characters in this game besides Ignis? I was thiking Saya but I haven't seen any footage of her

Yeah, that sounds like Saya, alright. You can see some of her footage in my playlist; it's mostly from pre-release streams, but she didn't change much.

About Ein's LB: keep in mind that the move's active frames are actually pretty short, so you can dodge it pretty easily on reaction. Yesterday's Nitroplus stream had them whiff the shot twice simply because the other player walked at the wrong time. Also, you can roll through it, so apparently it counts as a projectile?

And judging from this combo video, Muramasa's Enchant Minus can actually serve as a combo starter:

While we're at it, this set has some hilarious moments for both Muramasa and Ruili:

Anyone know any YouTube channels that plans on uploading matches?

I am possibly planning on uploading matches, but it will probably be awhile due to the sheer volume of content from TRF at the moment if I do decide to do it.

It feels weird, really. Before the game was out, I felt like I've seen all the footage available and could even put it together in a single playlist, but now I can never be sure that I've seen it all, nevermind have all of it reuploaded to Youtube. Any video links are deeply appreciated.

I didn't watch a lot, but I noticed that some characters have unique victory animations when certain conditions are fulfilled. I already menitoned before that Mora has one when she finishes the round with Child Play, but Ignis also has it when she finishes with her LB (so she stays in her white dress). I wonder if all characters have one?..

This was one busy weekend, but that Anna translation should be ready by tomorrow. Less things to be distracted by, too.

And here you go, a whole lot of Anna info.

If you ask me, I'm not sure why everyone is sleeping on Anna, she seems to have all the required tools to be a very strong character. Is it just because her normals are lackluster?

So I had the chance to play against a lot of the Aquapazza players who played this game that have 300+ games under their belt and are already S rank or higher. I'd actually compare the game to EFZ with its RG system compared to the shield system. Pressure becomes similar in that sense where you try to stagger out pressure and go for a more mixup heavy game while chasing air techs.

I played Ignis and Muramasa. Although the Ignis's during the time weren't winning, on paper she seems incredibly good. Retarded traps that come out even when you get hit, very easy combos off EX trap, etc. She has amazing normals and a great command throw that converts to a neat 5K using her 6A5B loop. It's amazing how many choices she has when she has you knocked down on top. The most common assist I've seen with her is Alushia which lets you easily convert any hit into her level 3 Anore super.

Muramasa I have a lot less information because not many people played her. She has some very wonky normals and has a decent close range game and a long range game. At any other range, she has to web cable in. Her mixup game is a lot lower than a character like Anna in the quick overhead game. Web cable pressure will lose in a lot of ranges, and characters with DPs can blow it up easily once they see it on block or even worse, shield. I'm not sure what the hell her DP is used for. I don't really want to make a conclusion for how good she is, but from what I've seen, she seems weak compared to the rest of the cast with a lot of awkward normals. She does have a lot of creative ways to move around the screen, but in this game it isn't particularly a good idea to fly around everywhere when everyone has fairly powerful anti-air command normals.

...I'm just kinda sad that Nitro Royale combos were taken out. Like Ignis' cool shuriken pull, instant overhead dashes, and shotgun lol. The game so far is super fun... and I won't be able to play it again once I leave Japan.

Thank you, I feel with how she has been developing since day 1 is really beginning to show because people now know more optimal combos which brings out her damage.

I'm not sure what the hell her DP is used for.

If you mean the 623 move, I'm not sure if it even has any invul frames, so I don't know if you can call it a DP (but then again, I haven't played the game, myself). From what I understand, it's supposed to let her move out of that uncomfortable mid-range zone into close range, but you don't want to throw it out in neutral, and doing it in combos is usually inferior to her other options.

As far as theory-fighting goes, I feel like Muramasa is more meter-reliant than most other chars, since her supers have a lot of utility (from a combo finisher to an actual reversal). If I were to pick up Muramasa (I probably will), I wouldn't feel bad about picking Aoi, especially since she lets you use more hype Railguns. The other assist should probably be pressure-oriented, just so her mix-ups are a bit more safe. Althea, perhaps?

So, mah al is broken? :kitty: importing this

Game seems fun. I hope it's funnier than Aguapizza (I liked but it felt kinda slow at times)

I wouldn't call Al broken, it's just that she doesn't have too many weaknesses. She has good normals and run speed, her fireball game is strong, her DP is great, and then she even has some nice mix-ups with her Mirror and Atlach-Nacha. Even her combo damage can be off the charts with AB and other heavy-hitting Assists. That said, she can still be outplayed, and since her gameplan is straightforward, it's not too hard. It's just that she does everything well.

Wouldn't you, as someone from Japan, have a far better chance of knowing and using these strategies than anyone who isn't from Japan? How wide spread is this game?

As far as I know, Ignis is the undisputed top tier. Anyone else is kinda up for grabs. I had the chance to play Gamera's Al and you can deal with a lot of what she does with an easy shield. Her DP is the most retarded thing about her and can yield a lot of damage with that call out. Her fast normals and fast movement speed is definitely the key factor in doing well.

I did watch a Saya play, but wasn't paying too much attention. Not many people are playing her...

There's a pretty good Saya on the Leisure Land videos posted earlier in the thread.

Thanks.  Anyone know how to do the super where she sticks her foot out of the ground?  It's not on any movelists I've seen.
