Bursts are fine the way they are. It provides a way to get out of a damaging combo or bad situation, while still carrying a degree of risk that it can't be used carelessly. Because of the lengthy startup and small hitbox, learning where there are good and bad points to burst in a combo is crucial towards making it effective. You also realize there are times where using the burst just isn't worth it, and you're better off just taking the loss and keeping it for next round. Being able to be hard read and have your burst blocked or thrown also stops them from being true "get out of jail free" cards. And of course there's the massive comeback potential that comes with landing a Gold Burst when things are looking grim.

Not THAT is a competent argument. ;)

I believe you need 62.5% up front; doesn't a successful Rejected grant you back half your blitz shield's cost?

 

I'm hearing split mechanics on the blitz charge; if you successfully blitz someone, is it a guarenteed combo with the charge move?

 

Right, my bad.

Unless you Blitz a projectile.

Watch the final slot end up being a brand-new final boss. :v:

 

Raven or the easy way, Elphet with a new coat of paint. They denied us that boss fight because how the story mode was done.

Perma dragon install Sol with a 2.5 damage modifier, takes slightly reduced damage, life regens super fast, infinite meter, taunts you after winning a round, and you don't get any meter from it.

I don't think that introducing new characters in the second loktest is likely. They will probably just focus on ironing out Johnny and Jack-O', polishing mechanics a little bit and all that. In my humble (and unpopular) opinion, I kind of prefer them to work very thoroughly on two characters and system mechanics, so they're all polished, balanced (ekhm, ekhm, 1.0 Elphelt) and overall enjoyable from the very start. I'd, personally, gladly pay $40 (taking BBCPEX price as reference point) for what is on offer here, if it's done to the highest quality standard.

Going back to what Ishi mentioned in the interview about enhanced ODs possibly getting more properties if players asked for it, I would say that (and this is strictly my opinion, don't get it twisted) loketest 2 would be a solid opportunity to test that out and see what people think of it in real play.

They might deploy to arcades with just two new characters, but if Jack-o isn't the new final boss then remember that Ram was added as a playable character post launch in arcades.

 

There's also a 0% chance there won't be 1-2 additional characters with 1-3 dlc characters at console launch.

I said this before (in chat) but my prediction on new characters is:
 
---Jam Kuradoberi (I'm thinking she'll sit across from Faust cuz they're BOTH Chinese!)
---Dizzy (what fan hasn't wanted her back? Honestly...)
 
I have my reasons, but they are reasonably sound ones, but mostly because these two characters are probably as popular as Johnny in Japan (moreso than Bridget guesses at least).
 
And while I'm at it, here's an article on the fun of Camera Angles (for people who like taking screenshots of GGXrd, this may help!)
 
There was also talk of Gold characters being in the works since they were unused color palettes in GGXrd.

BTW, anybody LTAO with Johnny Treasure OD against Zato, Johnny and Ram? Zato's EYEDROPS? AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Johnny with porn mag? Oh, you really understand our Johnny too well, Daisuke. Ram WITH BURGER? Holy Shit that was a new one. Character development through gameplay? Hell yeah.
