okay, while drinking heavily in Chicago, we tested Nu with stipulations: (one stipulation per match) 1- Nu is not allowed to block 2- Nu is not allowed to Jump 3- Nu is not allowed to Hit D 4- Nu is not allowed to Hit C Of these: We found that Nu is a COMPLETELY FAIR AND BALANCED CHARACTER IF AND ONLY IF: 3 and 4 are observed (at the same time) We found that if 1 or/and 2 are in effect, and Nu is allowed 3 or 4, Nu can still win very easily. Therefore, I propose for Tournament rules, if a Player chooses Nu, the opposing player gets to choose either: Nu cannot hit D or Nu cannot hit C.

I want to use V-13 because I like the way she looks but I don't think I could put up with the constant complaining about how cheap she is. ~_~ And I have an offtopic question: how do I watch the videos from nicovideo.jp?

As for playing Nu... Yes, there is a ton of complaining. I think I'm just extremely unlucky, but I generally get avoided in ranked matches at least 6 times before getting to play a laggy flowchart Jin. I haven't played a ranked match against a character other than Jin/Noel/Haku-men in over a week.

Still, if you get good, and meet some good players that can get around Nu's easy mode spam playstyle that seems so popular at low levels, you'll have a great time. She's very enjoyable (at least for me) to play.

honestly I like Nu's play style and I like the type of pressure she puts on people. If anything, people should enjoy the game more for actually giving a challenge and forcing you to play differently. Even Arakune players need to step it up agenst Nu, instead of jumping and spamming cloud they instead need to zone as much as Nu and catch her off guard. I must have played with this good Arakune player for about an hour+, it was intense and a ton of fun. But you take the good with the bad, this Rachael player couldn't stop bitchin about how "boring Nu makes this game" Oh well...

Heres a quick observation I immediatly noticed about your Nu. If he is not in your face, by all means throw a dagger out there(since I saw you rush in when you could've just played it safe thrown a dagger). Nu is good at zoning, so you should always be pressuring him at a distance. Force him to airdash and punish him for it ;o Also. Don't burst so early. It could really turn the match around Overall, pretty good. You can expand your setups though. Maybe 3C -> 236D RC? Grab more? That Jin player was not very good at all.

I don't want to criticze your entire gameplay based on 1 vid (and a vid against a not so good player....) but that's what i saw First thing first: NU doesn't have meter for her swords THROW MOAR ZONE ZONE ZONE get him with 5DD and build your game from there: 5DD j2DD 214D~C j2DD, 5DD 214D/D~C 5DD 214C/214B etc etc You get my point? Don't just wait for them to come to you more 2C 6C less 2C jC: you can go up to 4700+ dmg without RC with 2C 6C If you're going to get close use more stuff in Nu arsenal 2C 2147D~C/2147D/3C mixup you only seem to go with dash 5C or dash 3C and speakingof getting close IAD more just do it smart (iad j2C iad j2D etc etc) you seem to try to get in just from dash on the ground

I highly recommend watching both videos. They are very well put together.

It almost looked like input lag was messing up your combos. I'm not totally sure but you wanna make sure you get etched into muscle memory a few of the pick-up, antiair, etc combos from Goryus' stickied post.

I really like what Darksoul173 recommended of IAD (backwards to keep distance) j2D. I see a lot of high level play (inoue, goryus, and Reria) utilize a very nice block string of 5DD > 4DD > 2147D~C > j2D > 214D~C > j2D. Specifically what I'm referring to was in round 3 when you were poking with 5D. If you had poked with 2147D~C > j2D you would have enforced the range pressure a bit better. This block string can all be blocked high but forces them to turtle and you can mix in 214D/214D~C as a mix up. Then you can hit confirm them into a combo.

Remember it is important to not get cornered and as NU you can Act Parcer (66 or 44 after 6C, 2C, or any ground swords[http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/v13_data/]) to gain much needed breathing room. And since 2C is such a power full anti air you can sometime suprise them by teleporting away into a sword combo rather than the normal close air juggle. Swords are also burst safe ;) and if they do burst you can hit them with another 5DD as they land into another air combo, wheee!

I also am a big fan of protecting yourself with 214D and 214D~C as an oki. It forces them to either jump over it and get a 2D or 6D in the face into an air combo or build up the guard gauge.

Already commeted on your Nu on YT and yeah i'm also trying to mix melee and zoning

and one more thing i realy think you don't need to go with the CH 2C 6C dash 2DD 2147D dash 2B 2C jDD dj2DD dj214D (if this is the combo you were going for if you were going for ...2147D 3C 236D RC one that's just waste of meter IMO)

instead you should go with the CH 2C 6C dash 2DD jC j2C land 2DD j2C djDD dj214D its much more damaging (the first combo is around 4213 dmg and the second one is somewhere around the 4600-4700+)
