Something is weird with Rachel's. 214b apparently is a new move she has? Where is pumpkin? Also looks like 22a changed somehow, maybe no more beelze lotus....

If there is no pumpkin in this game, it would be the scariest thing to have happened to me ever. Definitely more scary than clowns, water bugs, and that old thing down the block with an ass for a face. Combined.

Celica's "Recovery Cap" mechanic is interesting, so at the end of drive combos she can either get a free Armure Sorbet or spend it for a buffed special move?

Makoto has a new move "Sirius Jolt" listed under 41236C (probably the new move from the trailer) and, for some bizarre reason, Shooting Star is now 236B and not a drive move. Lunatic Upper and all its follow ups are blue, but I'm pretty sure its just written differently now (they removed "Lunatic Upper" as a move, and instead listed "Infinite Rush" as the 214A~C move and it has a note that its mashable, so functionally its the same and the further follow-ups are blue because they follow the "new" Infinite Rush and not Lunatic Upper).

 

The most interesting thing I see, however, is that Tager lost 360B? Gigantic Tager Driver is now solely listed as 360A and now there's "Wedge Catapult" listed under 360B and it has another 360B follow up called "Impact Drive."

I can't seriously believe they removed his 360B (or that 360A is removed and 360B is now 360A).

 

Also, can anyone translate what it says about Active Flow? It seems to have a lot more detail on it.

Jin's 236D seems like it got replaced with a new move since it's highlighted in pink. Wonder what it is.

Someone on Twitter took a closer look at it and they say it doesn't actually say it's a command grab. So it has its own input, costs a star, is its own move, not just a new animation, and it involves Hakumen chokeslamming them. It's PROBABLY a command grab, but not necessarily confirmed.

So Ragna lost Belial Edge and instead the new move we saw in the teaser (called Nightmare Edge if my limited understanding of katakana is correct) is its replacement. I guess TK Belial combos were too strong for ASW's tastes and removed it in favor of a new aerial move. Time will tell if it proves to be useful.

Is Izayoi's moveset indicating how many stars she gets from each special? Because if so, it appears that 236B/C give 2 on hit, 623B/623B give 1, and 236A gives none.

They removed Noir Edge from Izayoi and replaced it with an air Crusade that was shown in the trailer. Not really sure what she gets out of being able to do the specials in the air and how they will behave. New combos for Normal Mode I guess. And gave Celica an actual drive. Its kind of hard to get on paper. Would have to see it in practice

 

One thing that's getting me is that they're actually removing and replacing moves. Thought they'd never do that

One thing that's getting me is that they're actually removing and replacing moves. Thought they'd never do that

Not unprecedented for ASW after Xrd, and even Accent Core changed some former specials to Force Breaks (upward Axl Bomber, Grave Digger). Of course, Xrd losing so many moves was the result of a deliberate decision to ignore all non-Ishiwatari games.

 

Team Blue might be getting pressured to switch up the character movesets to differentiate the game from CP more strongly, since most of CP's systems are remaining in place.

 

Nice to see that Bullet has a 360 now, I had wondered why she didn't start with one. I'm sure she'll still be firmly low tier material though.

I'm guessing Shooting Star isn't a drive move anymore so that there's no possible way of messing up the charge. I like that.

 

It's also interesting that Lunatic Upper is replaced by Infinite Rush instead. That may remove the little gap between follow-ups, but only time will tell.

Mu seems to have lost Habakiri too...which well, isn't nearly as scary, but certainly less fun.

 

Here's hoping Phantom Soul and Indignation make up for it.

Hakumen's new move is probably a hit that links into a special grapple when it connects, that the game doesn't consider a command throw.

There's nothing inherently low-tier about Bullet, nothing stops her from being a more well-rounded version of Azrael, and last time I checked, he wasn't that bad. She's not Amane, her gameplan doesn't revolve some unorthodox gimmick that's impossible to balance properly. Just let her get her reward for getting in: that's supposed to be her main weakness, not actually opening people up after you get in.

Some notes I see in the movelist:

- Naoto's Drives can be dash-canceled while you charge them.

- If Naoto lands his Divine Reaper near the opponent, it increases the damage and changes the animation (similar to Hakumen's Shippuu/Elphelt's Judge Better Half?)

- Hibiki's clones can get hit, but Hibiki won't receive any damage.

- Hibiki's 5D and 2D send the clone forward, while 6D and 3D make Hibiki go forward instead.

- His B normals can be followed up with various B attacks (normals? Specials? No idea).

Aww, sweet, Lambda's 236B got follow ups. Sign me the fuck on for that. But why is cavalier pink? Are they changing how cavalier functions? They had best not be fucking my my stylish as fuck 22D->236C combos, those were dope.

 

Pity that Amane only got his new fan move, but it also seems like quite a few characters are getting now Normals or at least having normal properties changed(if Jin valk and terumi are anything to go by) so I'm hoping that they'll give him a little somethin' somethin in that area. MAKE 6B LAUNCH AGAIN GODDAMMIT
