[CF] Blazblue CENTRAL FICTION: News and Gameplay Discussion

Recommended Posts

So since the console versions usually have more color palettes, does anyone know if this game keeps the Persona reference colors or if there is a general anime/video game reference palette like 13 in CP (Ragna as Ichigo, Bang as Goku, Azrael as Kamina etc.)?

I was going to preorder this on PSN today, only to realize it's not available on PSN now. I'm debating if I should hold off and preorder it later, or should I preorder another game i'm interested in instead (Dishonored 2, XCOM 2, and For Honor definitely stand out to me).

Is this shopped or is there actually a way to have english subs in the JP version?

It's official but it's not from the Japanese version. There was a playable demo of the English version at Dreamolition Derby 3 (a fighting game tournament in Germany) which is where this comes from. Danaiden actually is the one who posted this and has a collection of pretty much every post-fight quote involving Es except Bang's here.

I used Bandicam to record the Mai demo and uploaded the videos on Mega in case anyone is interested:

https://mega.nz/#!d4JU0bZK!h3XD20OG8Oxk0Uh2D_QNOYHDUPEagxYol7_1vKR4xi4

The files are pretty big in size but they do cover the entire presentation (except for a few seconds between the videos).

Also, I came across some screenshots of Mai's alternate colors.

Going to watch these later, but i'll download them now. Thanks for the recording.

According to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxhtknix50g  Mai doesn't have command normals, but she's like Ram: Different moves come out depending on how you combine her normals, like AB is diferent from AAB. These combinations can be done even on whiff.

Really? Oh god... Well, at least her gameplay seems to be a lot easier than Ramlethal... I guess...

wow so what will mai do for anti airs I wonder.

I'm thinking maybe her anti-airs could function like how Nu/Lambda anti-air. She just throws the spear to anti-air or something. I know in P4U, Ken wasn't that great at anti-air despite having a spear, but anti-airs in that game were weak in general.

Mai will be released as a DLC on the 27th of October, 3 weeks after the main game, and cost 800 yen.

This makes me wonder if the NA version will just come with Mai day one. I think they did something similar with Adachi and Marie. But two different companies so who knows.

I did like Ram's combat system when I played her. The funny part was that I didn't play Xrd that much, but when I got the sudden urge to play Ram again, she was patched and none of the stuff I liked about her worked anymore.

A new crest also appears right at the beginning of the opening:

Spoiler

Since it's unlikely that they just put the crest of an unplayable character/boss so unprominently into the opening and that it shares some similarities with Hakumens design wise it could be Takehaya Susano'o AKA the Black Susano'o.

This really look like an "Unleashed" version of Hakumen crest, just compare those forms around the circle with his original crest... Oh god...
