Blade Report post Posted September 5, 2015 Okay for starters, I still own a working Playstation 2, as well as a PS3, and I recently bought a High Definition Monitor to work with, so that's a plus.I can already play GGXrd and BBCPEX in HDMI, so that's a start. But what I want to do is hook up my PS2 to my monitor, which only has an HDMI and VGA port, so I'd probably need an RCA adapter of some kind I think (Red/White/Yellow Female cable connectors to the male ones I have). Can someone suggest some adapters or monster cables that could help me out.Oh yeah and I still own a Gamecube as well. Poultrygeist Report post Posted September 7, 2015 I'm not a expert or anything but that doesn't sound wise. Retro consoles don't display well in HD compared to CRT, and in fact I believe some of them drop frames but I'm not sure on that one. If you really want to play old games in HD (that don't have an HD re-release) you would probably be better off using an emulator with filters, but I probably shouldn't go into detail on that because rules. Blade Report post Posted September 8, 2015 It's not so much that I want to "stretch the screen", I just want to have it displayed normally through an adapter. I don't think lag would be a big deal (especially since most PS2 games don't have netplay to begin with).
