Please feel free to bring any equipment. Remember, the more setups you guys bring, the more games you guys can play. BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER!!

Description:
The Fighting Gamers @ UCI organization hosts weekly sessions in the student center at UCI for players ranging from beginners to the most hardcore enthusiasts. The goal of these sessions is to provide gamers the chance to meet new people and possibly make new friends with a common interest. It is also designed to help the hardcore gamers gather up for competition and level up their skills. For more on our history and goals, check out the description page on our Facebook page or our Shoryuken thread.

*Equipment*:
For casuals, anyone can bring a setup for any game they'd prefer. If you do, please register on the Zotcade site as well (http://www.zotcade.com/byoc/). Just register for a console setup seat and note which game you're bringing so we may track it. If you're coming to just play, you don't need to worry about signing up.
Bring your own controllers/joystick is highly suggested for this event. Complimentary Brook converters for PS3->PS4 are available for loan, but will likely be a hot commodity so sharing is a must.

Hey guys!

As many of you have seen, we're participating in Zotcade to bring you some awesome fighting game action this year! We'll be hosting some tournaments in the evening for SFV and GGXRD-R. Sign-ups will be on site. Tournaments will start at 7pm. We'll have casuals throughout the day as well. 

Games provided by FG@UCI:
Street Fighter V
Guilty Gear XRD -Revelator-
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
King of Fighters XIII

We'll have a few raffles throughout the day as well and possible teaching sessions for anyone that wants to pick up and learn a fighting game.

Tournament Game Rules:
Street Fighter V
Tournament will be played on PlayStation 4
Tournament capped at 32
Payout is 60/30/10 of pot for 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Default time
No handicap
Players can agree on a stage, or select Random Stage within 10 seconds 
Sets are best 2 out of 3 matches, 2/3 rounds
Grand Finals, Winner's Finals, & Loser's Finals sets are best 3 out of 5 matches, 2/3 rounds
Winner must keep the same character, Loser can switch characters
Legacy Controllers are fine if players bring their own PS4 Controllers
PS4 Controllers must stayed wired during matches
PS4 Controllers must be logged out and desynced when matches are finished

Welcome to the Fighting Gamers @ UCI
 
About Us:
FightingGamers@UCI (FG@UCI) is a student organization on the campus of the University of California, Irvine (UCI) for people who have an interest in fighting games. What began as a small club for UCI students, FG@UCI is now a community comprised of Southern California’s most passionate fighting gamers.
 
Our goal is to host gatherings where fighting gamers can befriend, play, and learn with others. We accomplish this by providing a positive and enriching environment through our weekly sessions and occasional special events, all held at UCI and open to the public. We strive to provide our members with resources necessary to enable their passion for fighting games.

Aside from our sessions or events, members of the FG@UCI community can also interact amongst themselves through our Facebook page.
 
Perspective members must follow these procedures for requesting membership in order to ensure the quality of our organization for our current members and in order to verify legitimacy.
 
1) Request to join our Facebook page
2) Email fighting.gamers.uci@gmail.com with your name, Facebook profile link, and answers to the following questions:
• How did you hear about us?
• What fighting games do you play?
• What do you expect to get out of this group?
 
Once we have received and reviewed your message, you will be accepted into our page. Once you have joined, you will receive updates for our upcoming events, as well as access to our page wall where you are able to interact with other members.
 
Note: Facebook membership is not required to participate in our sessions and events. Info regarding our organization, including our schedule of events, can also be found on our Shoryuken.com thread.

Rules:
1. You shall adhere to the UCI campus policies. (http://www.dos.uci.edu/conduct/uci_policy.php)
2. You shall respect every member in our group.
3. You shall not gamble of any sort, including money matches. It is prohibited on campus.
4. You shall not commit a violent act during our events. Zero tolerance toward thuggery, violence, threats and intimidation.
5. You shall not have possession or use illegal drugs at our events.
6. You shall not steal.
7. You shall not post spam or useless material on our Facebook page or SRK thread.
8. You shall report any problems to the FG@UCI cabinet.
9. You shall arrive to tournament events on time.
10. You shall have a good time.
 
Failure to adhere to these rules will lead to the appropriate punishments:
- Warning
- Suspension from the club/page
- Indefinite suspension from the club/page
 
Please encourage friends and others around you to join if they have an interest in fighting games.
