Certain routes that end in 5CC can be extended provided you have the wind resources, these will be noted where appropriate. Place Info here. - 6A Route leading to 6A > 236A > Dash 3C > : - When you hit your opponent with 6A, when you go into jc > j.A, you must delay the j.A for as long as possible. - When you then go on to do j.B > j.C, you need to (ever so) slightly delay the j.C so when you land to do 6A again, your opponent is at just the right height to go into 236A > Dash 3C > etc. - The Height you hit your opponent at varies between characters so be sure to hit training mode and experiment. - These routes don't work on (Will list the characters asap). - Video Example/Help/Guide [Will Add ASAP] - For more information please view the Wiki: Rachel Combo Theory - Corner Ivy Combos : - @Rele has put together a fantastic video named "Ivy Blossom Combo Tutorial". Please check it out as it highlights where things can be going wrong for those struggling to understand these routes and the video also provides alternative routes utilising Ivy Blossom. - Here's the Video: Ivy Blossom Combo Tutorial - Character Specifics : Place info here

RurouniLoneWolf Report post Posted March 23, 2016 Hi, hi. I've been finalizing my personal CF Rachel notes since I'll be in Japan for KSB in about a month. As an addendum to the earlier combo video I transcribed, I've gone over recent N-O footage to see what sort of combos he does presently and thought I'd post them here since it might be useful. Not many changes. The most noteworthy thing you'll see different compared to the transcribed combo video is the change in corner enders. A lot of corner enders are now 5CC > 214C > 6A > 236A |> 3C > 22A. Still a work in progress at the moment though. I still need to find a CH 6A and j.3DB/C starter combos to add to the list. I also want to add a midscreen combo with the new ender N-O uses to stay close after 5CC by using 2 wind. If you're having trouble with anything, be sure to give it a read! I'll be sure to update it with more info and character specific stuff as we work out the details. http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php/BBCF/Rachel_Alucard/Combos#Combo_Theory
Rotlung Report post Posted September 12, 2016 Thanks for the detailed write-up. I'm quite curious about the "6A > jc delay j.A > j.B > j.C". I play on PC so I won't be able to try this out for quite a while. Is this something I can practise in CSE, since 6A floats there? Also that Ivy Blossom corner combo looks wicked!
RurouniLoneWolf Report post Posted September 12, 2016 Assuming you meant CPE instead of CSE, maybe? Wouldn't hurt to try. I know you can do the IAD routes from frog and sword Iris starters so long as you add a 2D wind to the j.Cs. The biggest thing you need to look out for that might cause this to drop is 6A not floating the opponent as much in CF. You also might have trouble at the j.C > land 6A part. You might be able to fix that with a 2D wind though.

gamester Report post Posted October 24, 2016 I dunno why but I managed to click with CP. I am struggling with this version of Rachel a lot more. Anyway, my most difficult problem is like the one you mentioned. The double lobelia corner combos. Delay 5CC > Ivy > 3C[3]? > 236C > 8D > (MicroDash?) 6A > 236B > 9D > Ivy > (Lobelia should hit around here?) 3C > stuff I lose track because I struggle with these corner routes. I must make it sound like a mess above but I think, my problem is I am rushing the 236C > 8D > 6A > 236B > 9D part and the 236B lobelia seed falling down needs to hit in sync while you are doing ivy input, so you can connect the 3C just after. I also think or have a feeling there is more time to do the inputs for the 236C > 8D > 6A > 236B > 9D part than simply rushing it all. May be my real issue is getting the timing of Ivy > 3C to connect after I do 9D? I can do etc. etc. 9D > catch with 5B > 6A > 4B > 5CC iirc. Sorry, I thought I would post my thoughts on it here as I am still not understanding the corner routes either. Let's go over the combo again with the notation from the combo section and explanations. Some of it is already in the combo theory section but I'm going to expand on it 2B > 5B > 5CDC > 6C (1) > j.C > delay j.236C > 5B > 6A > 4B > delay 5CC > 214B > 3C > 236C slightly late 8D > microdash 6A > 236B9D > 3C > 214B > 3C > 632146C > 8D 4B > delay 5CC > 214B > 3C In order to give yourself enough time to link 3C after throwing out the first Ivy Blossom in the combo, you'll need to delay the 5CC followup after 4B so that the opponent will wall splat higher up on the wall. This will make the opponent have to fall further and give you more time to link 3C. The timing on the delay is kind of specific in the sense that you need to hit them at the height of their ground bounce from 4B to get the highest possible wall splat. Furthermore, in order make sure they're high enough for 236C to connect, you should aim to do the quickest possible 3C from 214B. Play around with the timing until you get a feel for how quick you can do it 3C > 236C slightly late 8D For this part of the combo, you'll want to do the 8D slightly late from 236C in order to float the opponent a bit and give you time to connect 6A to keep the combo going. Depending on how late you do your 8D, linking the microdash 6A will go from hard to pretty easy so keep that in mind if you're having trouble connecting 6A Misc eh, I didn't really make any sense of your issues with the 236B9D part but if you're having trouble syncing up, make sure you're doing 236B9D right so that it goes as far up as it should (You should be pressing 9D as the lobelia is coming out, not while Rachel is still in the startup) and cancel into 214B from 3C (2). Also, just so it's clear, both lobelias you fire should be coming down and hitting the opponent during the second Ivy Blossom summon, one after the other. Do the exact wind timing for the first lobel that Ruroni said. I have also found the following to be crucial: When you said 3c[3], 3 hits for that first 3c, yes this helped me stabilize, I've been doing all three hits now for that. For the second lobel, I do it (the wind) much earlier than the first, during cannon animation startup. Its practically parallel to the second lobel for me. As ruroni said, for that 3c during the 2 lobels tapping your opponent on the head, you may not want to do all 3 hits, you may need to recover sooner, the 2 lobels falling is like a time window, after they fall you need to be able to 3c again. And for the record, i LIKED CP rachel, thematically, and aesthetically, I just found her timings to be soooo unforgiving and brutal. I hate how IAD happy this rendition of rachel is. I liked the grounded rachel more, it just made sense to me thematically (she looked like she was doing less physical work and the wind did its job), and don't even get me started on pumpkin. I miss pumpkin, i dont care if shes higher tier. Also if any timing is driving me looney right now its mid screen lobel > sword iris > microdash 4b > 5cc ender. We didn't have to microdash 4b 5cc so much before and now its like..standard :< On 10/25/2016 at 0:03 AM, RurouniLoneWolf said: No idea what route you're talking about. I think you basically cleared up my confusion, I was under the impression that you could: 5B > 5CC > 6C (1) > j.C > delay j.236C > 5B > 6A > 4B > delay 5CC > 214B > 3C > 236C slightly late 8D > microdash 6A > 236B9D > 3C > 214B > 3C > 632146C > 8D Off of a j2ad overhead starter. Now I'm thinking this route is more for something like a 2b starter. for j2ad you gotta go the 5B-less route that lands and goes straight to 5cc then 6c[4hits]. I was thinking you could do either/or. Thanks for your help as usual. You probably save me...hours of wasted time haha.
