Question About My Grip

I've been learning some micro dash tech with Mu-12, and I'm having some issues doing it facing left. I currently dash in that direction using basically only my thumb. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how I can change my grip to get better execution going left?

I'd start with the basic wineglass, if you're not doing that already.
