Raoh Yells and Breaks Your Face

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure he used a boost while doing 2C, look at the boost bar it depleted some of the boost bar while doing 2C and whenever you use a boost there is always that red light flash, to make clear you used up a boost. Here is the complete combo: 2A, 2A, 2B, 5D cancel into CD, 6, 5D, 623C, 2C+E(?), jB, jB, 214D, 2A, 2B, 5C, CD, 2C+E(?) and then it becomes complicated thats why i asked my question....

Yeah he used boost just before the 2C, autoboost that is, look at this :

you do C+D, 6, 2C, than cancel the 2C into 96(iad), boost, j.B... I personally like to do 96 E+B. :toot:

6 after CD is for autoboost, that's the boost you're seeing when he does 2C before IAD boost jB, also for the first 2C, it's 623A > E > 2C.

Thanx for the reply's guy's il look into it, i tried that IAD after the last 2C but it doesnt look like the jump (IAD) in the video so what am i doing wrong? I tried IAD back and IAD forward....

It's IAD forward, I assure you. A tip to get it more consistently is to 1) make sure you hit 2C as soon as you can after that second boost. It'll give you more time to hit the IAD j.B before they start falling from wall stick. Then, 2) hit B+E after you start to normal IAD. I find that if I 967+B+E I get a jump boost more often. If I do 967~B+E I get the IAD boost much more consistently. Might help you out.

What I have problems with is the TK 214D. It's hard for me. Given that it requires a minimum height (funkin' Arc and their height limits) I can't do that sucker consistently. Does anyone have any tips on doing it reliably?

Thanx bullet ballet yeah its true alright you have to IAD forward, finally i managed to pull it of once yesterday. But darn! its freakin difficult to pull it off. first i tought connecting 2A after airspike was difficult then there was that second launch then j.A, then 214D that to was difficult. But nothing beats this (up intil now) 2A, IAD, jB+boost. Still have a lot to learn...

'Kay guys, I used to be able to do this one combo no problem, now I just can't for some reason. The combo is ... CD 6 > j.B j.B |> > j.B j.B |> > j.B j.B airspike. I just can't connect a jumping move off the banishing strike, any ideas why that could be? Also, is this even practical, or just stylish?

I think I used to connect it with other moves in the start, actually. Like maybe I'd do 2C before the j.Bs or something. I need to go try that one, actually. I just like being able to do it because it looks awesome.

You can't normally jump cancel a boost. To do that combo you'll just want to start with something jump cancelable, like just do CD 6, 2C > j.B, j.B > etc. Do note though that you won't get much for it unless you start a far bounce first, which is another thing to worry about. Really though, get your big hits in first. If you want to do a combo like this, you can do something like... CD 6, 2C 623A E 2C > IAD j.A j.C |> j.B, j.B > etc Way better that way.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was also thinking that 2C > IAD j.C |> 2C > IAD j.C etc or something similar might work as well, I need to actually mess around with this stuff.

To do slower combos like that you have to cause a far bounce. They are definitely possible to do though. I used to have one VS Kenshiro that looked something like ... CD 6 ... C 623A E 2C > IAD j.C |> A, 2C > ( IAD j.C |> )*8 ...etc. Really silly but yeah, once you get the far bounce you can do some goofy things.

I messed around with it and I decided I like this one (since I dont like using 623A personally, call me a scrub? >>): CD 6 5C 2C (> j.B ... j.B |>) x2 > j.B j.B 214D ... Man I don't even know what I do after a banishing strike normally anymore, I haven't played the game in too long, so I'mma prolly wind up using that.

Thing is that after any CD, you are guaranteed to have 1 block of boost, so you might as well use it. The reason you do 623A is because it does a lot of damage. You want to get all of your big hits in right at the start of the combo in this game because of how fast damage scales. If you don't want to do that you can always do ... CD 6, D AC 2369A 6E |> 2C > IAD j.A C ... etc.

Guys i need some help (advise) with raoh. Most of the time when i attack with IAD + jb, 2a, 2a, 2b, 5d, cancel into cd. The problem is i do have a confirm hit with IAD+ jb but with 2a the opponent can recover from IAD+jb and thus punish me especialy with characters who's punches and kicks come out faster then with raoh, i mostly cant connect 2a after IAD+jb i tried faster input but with no real succes. Is there a better way to perform it? Thanx in advance.

You can perform the IAD jB close to your opponent, so when you attack him with IAD jB you will attack his back, and when you perform the first 2A you're on the other side. That's a good way to link IAD jB and 2A, avoiding the opponent's punishment.

Thank you for the reply Fethennour il try that setup you wrote to me the next time i play. Never tought of this set up, its obvious the opponent has to turn arround, and that takes time. Time enough for me to link 2A after IAD jB. Thanx.

I'm a freaking n00b when it comes to GGXX-ish game style, but I've been messing around with Raoh recently and was wondering how get the most damage out of this combo- Cr. HP-->2P-SJC->HPxn1-->HKxxQCB+HK-Land->Cr. LPxn2-->St. C, HP+HK-Boost->Super or FKO or whatever What I want to know is how many times I should hit HP while in the air before doing HKxxQCB+HK, and then how many Cr. LPs before finish off with the following attacks. If there is an easier stronger variation I'd appreciate it, thanks.

The number of air HPs depends on how you possition yourself and then how much gravity there is on the other guy. Usually you can get 4-5 pretty easily though. For 2A after spike, I believe the number you get before they start getting pushed back is about 8. You can easily get more hits, but they start getting pushed backed. If you can Fist Cancel you can probably get 9-10, then 2B, C, C+D. It's kind of not that big of a deal since each LP only does ~1 damage. It's much more important to learn his more advanced combos.

^OK thanks, but I was also thinking that this combo can come in handy to finish someone off with his FKO, since I usually get it to connect easily after a St. C, CD-->Boost

Any time you Sai someone it's free time for FKO really. You don't even have to do it off CD either, you can link it off st.C right into it. Timing is harder though. Main reason why you would do it that way is if you have a lot of boost stocked up, it won't chew through meter like it will if you do a CD attack.

Need a answer to this question first look at the video link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01JVuKiWpz0

Pay attention from the beginning of the infinity combo up to 19 hit.

Well i managed to pull of the IAD boost plus B, air sai AFTER the 18th hit a couple times.

The one thing that puzzle's me whenever i start the combo at practise mode (i start when the opponent is against the wall with practically no space between the opponent and the wall, so i start from the corner, i do not start from the opposite side of the screen like in the video) After the 19th hit and continue 10x2A after ground sai, there is no space between the opponent and the wall, thus this means i cant do boost behind and air sai him to continue my combo.

How is this possible??? I did everything as supposed for this particular part of the combo.

Does it has to do something about, where you start this combo?

PS:I use the PS2 version of the game.

Any advise/help.....

Thanx in advance
