[CS1] Iron Tager Combo Thread

Recommended Posts

Just a un-burstable throw gimmick i've been doing...

*=where opponent lands after terrabreak

(*SuperLow) Throw > 236236B > 236236B > 3C [4947]

(*Low-Middle) Throw > 236236B > 236236B > 2C > 623C [5297]

(*Middle) Throw > 236236B > 236236B > 5C > 623C [5295]

(*Middle+LolSpark) Throw > 236236B > 236236B > 5C > Spark >623C [5306]

I'll test some corner versions, should I tape this?

I should add the throw BnB's from the JP wiki's to the BnB section...its optional to record them...if you do put them in one video.

I can just line them all in 1 link.

wait wait so it works on jin, litchi, ragna, bang, hazama tsubaki, tager and noel?

do you have to walk for as far as you can for only hazama?

Walking as far as possible is for unmagnetised Hazama, when magnetised you just need to walk enough to get 2B 2C to hit, it's a little more than when you do just 2B 623C but not much.

Also in your list you have to delete Jin, against him only 2B 623C works, but you can add Lambda.

According to the first page, to get magnetism after an unmagnetised 360A on Hakumen, you can 262D. I see that it is supposed to be hard, but does anybody have any tips for me regarding the timing? I can't seem to get it out fast enough. >_<

I'm having trouble with collider whiff (magnetized) to 6B. Everytime I 6B the opponent recovers before Tager's foot hits the ground. I can't seem to be able to do it earlier. Is the timing window here just really tight when you input 6B?

For all the 262Ds, (should be 2[6]2D maybe?) you pretty much want to do 2 before Tager recovers from the buster, then [6] as long as the game lets you, then 2D.

Also, there are some characters you can [6]22D instead, but I forget who...I think I saw that on Jin.

Also we're missing the easiest anywhere FC combo, CH 2C, 2C/5C xx AC, walk BSledge, walk 5B->5C->6A xx AC, EGadget. And I have some extra research to do today.

Hmmm. Thanks for the tip, Mike. Also, that FC combo looks like good fun, I'll have to try it out! =D

I am having big problems with the 22+D combo ender. It seems like I am hitting it like every 1 out of 10 times. Any tips? Should I wait longer shorter? With dash? I don't understand how to land this thing.

Depends on what issue you're having with it. If it's not coming out at all obviously you're doing it a bit fast. If you're doing it (Tager does a little flick but it doesn't connect) then they are either too far or you "missed" it. There's no harm in holding it,ie: 22[D], as far as I know so if you're just not "hitting" with it, hold the input.

(Someone feel free to correct me if I'm being imprecise/wrong.)

if its 3C>22D then you just do 3C and tap the gadget...should come right out.

if its say Bgadget then you have to hold it until they are about to hit the ground...hold it a bit longer than you think.

if its Egadget then its gonna fill awkward but you can pretty much do it after you land it, again just tap the 22D should come right out.

edit: for 3C wait at the end of its recovery.

Bgadget is the weirdest for me because theres no real visual clue as to when to hit the 22d, I've just committed it to memory. The enemy isn't even any where near the ground when GF connects on Bgadget, they just kinda teleport to the ground... and into your hand.

Thanks for the info. The main issue is that I hit 623C then 236B then you need to 22D. That's the one I miss. So Holding D would fix my problem?

BTW, an alternate ender when they're magnetized and 5B->4D wouldn't work is AC whiff, 6B->4D. Been using this a lot more than GF recently.

hello everyone, im new here, fresh from Street Fighter 4 and looking to get better with Tager.

ive been playing for a few days now and i have a solid grasp on how to play tager properly though i can still improve a good amount.

just a few things i wanted to know, whats the combo you usually go to off of a hit confimed stand A?

i usually just do A A A 2b 3C GF oki etc, anything else i should go to besides this? maybe just A A A 2b 2c , ac?

I like using 5AxN>5B>4D

5A>2B>3C>2B>2C>623C>j.C whiff>j.2C>22D.

check the first page in the thread man, its a lot of combo's and most of them have video links to them.

also should I put 5A>5B>4D in that list since its pretty decent abeit gimmicky.

I've already looked at the AMAZING front page with the video links, I guess this question was supposed to be what is the most used setup and for what reasons?

well it depends because I tend to use 5A>2B>2C or 5A>2B>3C a lot for combo's,

and yes I use 2B and the reason why because it goes into another low 5B, it goes into 2C which takes 1 primer and linkes into 4D that is a great frame trap, or I tick 360.

2B is a fucking godsend, I didn't even mention its god on block.

it really depends on what you go for, but everyone does 5A>5B>3C and have their own follow-up.
