he kept doing those charge attacks (where it pushes you to the wall) and I didnt even know what to do to stop it.

and the mechanics of this game are fucked up beyond belief, what'sthere to understand ._.

thats a banishing striike its unblockable fully charged although i think you can mash out of it cus it shows the joy stick icon when you get hit by a fully charged one but if you see him charging it up hit him before he hits you or jump away dont try to block it.

Since I saw Master Chibi was beastly at Just Defend practice in CVS2 a long time ago, try to Just Defend against that charged C+D? You get a looooooooooooooooooot of frame advantage if you can do that:)

Does anyone know why the AI always aura guards when it gets knocked down in Training mode? I'm kind of wondering what Aura Guard does while knocked down.

The most weird thing for me is aura guard while running forward. Faultless Defend Cancel is back?

New Shin bug! (?)

My friend and I were recording some match vids, and we ran into this bizarre bug! After Mr Heart did his super throw on my Shin, I had blue shadows trailing me the rest of the round! I don't know what caused it but it's pretty cool, permanent A-groove :v: It happened several times, I'll try and post those later. Here is the first time we ran into it. This is on PS2 HNK.

jodonnell, I saw all your match vids, your friend Namynam is really good... I might be wrong but can't Shin do 623B to punish Mr.Heart's 214B whenever it gets blocked?

Thanks! :) Yes, Shin can, but I can't always, haha. I'm trying to get that more reliable though. I need to work on boosting in after a blocked roundhouse earth crush too, for big damage BS combo. This was my first big play session vs his Heart though (he just started playing him, Juda is his main) so I can beat Heart much more consistently now. Juda is another story though :v:

Please, bro, post your vs experience in postmatch discussion. There is always something you know but others don't. It's hard to find decent Mr. Heart players these days. Vs Juda is fun for Shin. I am going to watch the matches again now.

So as i said in the Thouther thread i finally figured out how break the star limit with the command throws. It's actually simple, you get the guy dizzy, but the combo that dizzied him must took out at least one star, then do the command thow for Shin or BD for the others and now you can take out one extra star. For the max charged CD, lol it was so simple i never thought of it (plus i don't really use max charged CD in pressure strings). It's just the star taken out when the guy get smashed on the wall after a blocked max charged CD that break the limit.

Just to clarify for updating the FAQ, the requirements for breaking the limit are one of the following: 1) Dizzy someone with a combo that takes off a star, then start the follow up combo with a BD throw or Shin's command grab. or 2) Make someone block a fully charged CD attack and then follow up the combo?

looks like everyone playing GGXX^core now, anywy the ps2 version looks more like a hnk clone with all those glitches lol. I am going to stick to HnK.

Um, nothing in ^C makes it as bad as HnK? Testament is the Toki though, I guess, except less broken? Check out threads in The Foundation, I have no idea.

i play both and with all this AC practice yeah i have only been playing HNK for about an hour a day :( don't worry though, i'll get right back into it soon

After playing SC3 HnK and guilty gear don't look glitchy at all. I haven't encountered even one glitch during match play in GG AC yet and only one in training mode. It's not as bad as people act like. I'll play some HnK whenever you're up for it mr mamation. GG AC is taking most of my focus right now but HnK is second for me so I don't wanna get too sloppy.

ecxept for Rei uppercut and shin "muteking" all the hnk glitches are generic, they work with everyone, Toki is god tier bc he supposes to be Jesus.

in AC the glitches are character specific eg JO JH with no tension being better than the FB one when it is not suppose to be in the game.

thing is game is far from being arcade perfect, I will still learn AC but HnK stay my main game.

Wasn't comparing glitches, just games. Misread the post, sorry. Toki = Best character in HnK Testament = Best character in AC Everyone in HnK has a 100%. No one in AC does. That was all I meant. Thanks for actually responding about glitches though, haha. I personally think arcade HnK character specific glitches are far worse (Rei uppercut, Shin invincibility), but then I don't know too much about HnK and for all I know they're not actually as bad. By the way, I actually find the two to be the two most fun fighting games for me, with HnK only slightly below AC. Regardless of how much I joke about it being a terrible game (I've been doing it elsewhere, not sure about here though), I love it more than most of the rest.

yeah, both games are balanced in their own way. I think Mamyia is the only one that doesn't stand a chance, other than that the match ups in HNK aren't THAT bad.

Why? I actually think Mamiya's definitely super-crap tier, but not like no chance at all... Oki is as least good from what I can tell? I really do want some kind of clarification since the only other person I play this game with only plays her... He was gonna play Shin but then I told him everyone is good except Mamiya. 0_o
