Those guides are made by players (not by Novril), and it seems like the hype for the is gone. If you know someone that wants to make a guide or knows a lot about any character (that lacks a guide), just contact Novril https://twitter.com/novriltataki

Ok Thanks

Thanks very much. Are they still working on character guides? I havent seen anything on Miyako and some other characters.

If you have discord there is a melty blood chat where you can ask questions and look for matches etc. Alot of the vet guys are in there aswell and everyone is generally helpful.

Which miyako moon were you planning on running, I've dabbled a bit with the character so I could point you in the right direction.
Aswell theres also mizuumi wiki, melty bread forums and jp wiki/message boards for stuff but some of it is hit/miss.

Well, either way, MB-AA: CC is gonna be next to be ported soon from ASW, so its gonna be a while within the Spring timeframe. (Followed by UNIEL after around summer.)

April 19. $24.99, but 20% launch discount.

Confirmed to NOT be CCCaster, but hey. Translated Melty Blood available for purchase, and not in a limited edition blu-ray. In 2016.

Not Cccaster is a kick in the balls for me T__T

Well, there it is, but yeah, fully translated if what the screenshots are going for. At least hopefully this topic gets more discussion than HeavyMetalMixer just putting up match vids that hardly anyone would watch rather than play it. (Sorry man, but I had to. >.>...But I doubt actual MB fans do watch it, of course...)

And now that's left is UNIEL...someday in the summer.

Better, it's boring just using this thread just for videos.

I'll definitely buy it day 1, regardless of quality of netcode. I've waited years to finally try out MBAACC and these are the games I wanna see from ASW, not years-old versions of Blazblue or Guilty Gear.

This is the only one i've never played of that series, so i'd love it.

Also been wanting to play Daemon Bride for a while.

Well, finally, official English release of Melty Blood - Actress Again: Current Code is now on steam! So far, everything is smooth, end credits not translated, unironically [not the ending text with the character dialogue I mean.].

For playing & watching the game for years now (like most of us), I think the one kicking around on Melty Bread is still agreeable for the most part.

Spoiler

As of now, I personally feel that all the (normal) Lens have moved up, & quite a bit of players/character deal with Satsuki a bit easier. P. Ciel overall should be a bit lower as well.

Also, congratulations French Bread! Melty Blood is finally *here*! It is truly a great game.

I was actually expecting it to blow up here on Dustloop, but to my surprise there's only a handful of posts. Dang, here I was expecting people asking for a sub-forum in the Misc Fighter section!

I even prepared a great pixel icon for it 'cause I was so convinced.

Best: F-Hime, C-Roa (break the game)
S: C-Nero, F-Nero, C-Arcueid, C-Seifuku, F-VAkiha, C-Maids, C-Kohaku (extremely powerful)
Good enough: Everyone not listed is a strong character in at least one moon
Ehhh: Miyako, WLen (very able to win but have prominent flaws)
A cat is not fine too: Neco Arc, Neco Arc Chaos (joke characters)

It's because the netcode is complete shit, so th e hype died really quick.

PD: C-V.Akiha better than H? Seriously?

I really interested in F-Hime. Can I get some information about her because i looked some combo videos, and really like how she looks. Can someone tell me whats different about her in her other moons? Im new tot his game at least.

The netcode really does make or break a game, huh. Even for the almighty Melty Blood.

We could nitpick at some of the placements all day... but I'd have to agree with C-V.Akiha being better. Sorry! *puts hand on your shoulder*

And why nobody in the world plays C.Stridberg correctly is completely beyond me. She's A+ material, and beats a lot of characters.

Melty Blood is interesting because it's as hard as you want it to be. Full Moon style for the most part is great for its simplicity while still packing a punch. Most combos are A > B > C > Launcher > Air Combo, while figuring which moves you can put in between all this.

Crescent & Half Moons are *the* best part of the game. They aren't hard, but it may be overwhelming at first. You can really go freestyle in your combos; figuring out which moves have which properties, and then string them together in the end for one big one. Execution wise, it's actually pretty easy once you get your timings down (unless you choose C.Kohaku specifically). You'll just be doing a lot of moves in general, but fret not, some characters are simpler than others.

& Then each Moon has some unique mechanics, but nothing really game-changing mind you. Well, except the fact that with C/H Moons you can do reverse strings (C > B > A), which kind of play a big part in pressure & combos.

That's pretty much it. Considering you play Aigis, & you chose F-Hime, you're good.

The best way to approach this game is to find a character, quickly test out your moves/commands with each moon (see which ones "feel" good), then just build upon the one you like the most.

but don't do all in one night, you'll go insane

So...  it seems that the netcode will receive an upgrade in the near future. Madscientist contacted Shini_Zack and it seems that they agreed that he is allowed to work on it:

I wanted To know how or where did you get those results of that list. I've been playing for something like 4 years or so and I can definitely tell there is some stuff that does not make sense on that list. And I think some of the people here may agree with me.

C-Roa is definitely S+, like he is actually busted (Using this video as an example)

Same goes for F-Hime and C-Koha who's win rates are almost 60% each and are strong as fuck in almost any way.

F-Wara better than C-Sion? and C-Vakiha better than H doesn't make much sense. There are others but you get my point.

Sadly this game is already dead after 1 day. Net code is total garbage. If you aren't fighting a 3 or 4 bar (and even then it's still hit or miss), be prepared for a bad time of 10-20 frames of lag. Doesn't help that the game is that niche so everyone that tried to play it has already jumped ship aside the hardcore/pro/tourney players.

Would love to see an English release with online of Power Instinct 5 ( Gōketsuji Ichizoku Matsuri Senzo Kuyou ). That is such a fun game. Forgot that Atlus published that.

While I won't deny the current netcode is ass, the rollback implementation that everyone knows and loves is being reintergrated so theres that.
There's tonnes of new players in both the discord and around steam forums daily so I would hardly say anyone has jumped ship or the game is dead status or its so niche that its not approachable.

Am I correct in assuming that Roa is broken because of his lightning orbs that can seemingly be activated whenever he wants and come out instantly so he can instantly stop his opponent's approaches, thus granting him godlike neutral control?
