Unless it's an inescapable reset (highly doubtful), I don't see any difference with how Marvel usually is. Plenty of characters do enough damage off of two combos to kill a fair chunk of the cast.

It can't be used to escape combos, it's closer to a RC and Counter Assault mashed into one in terms of how you use it.
