It seemed like, everything on block just leads to me getting 2A'ed out of the next move I do.

I haven't played yet but I was worried about that when I saw a zero do something like 2a 2b 2c or something and then got hit between the 2b and 2c..

also, how easy is advance guard? can you do it on reaction to small hits, lolll? that guide on srk acts like you have to predict timing to do AG right.

There is no timing to advancing guard. I've blocked something unsafe and tried to punish with super slightly early and AGd by mistake lol.

No, it's like IB'ing except easier. Just need to mash back and 2 attack buttons at the same time. Very useful against physical supers to prevent chip damage. If you want to punish though I would suggest block and KFC into your move if it's that serious.

I actually had no intention of playing Taskmaster but after trying him out for only about 5-10 minutes I'm finding that he's really really fun to use.

Too many Wesker/ Dante/ random choice teams last night.

I played a couple matches this afternoon and I kept running into Ryu/Akuma/??? teams all day. A few of them try to start their combos with footsies or mashing jab. Can't help but laugh seeing people play Marvel like Street Fighter.

I'm rocking two teams. Spencer/Doom/Haggar and Chris/Tron/Hulk. Chris and Hulk in particular are the source of many tears

Okay guys...don't kill me for this, but I'm hearing a rumor from a guy named ZeroAlucard who apparently works at a Gamestop and says he's got a Cardboard poster confirming Strider will be released as DLC sometime in March (March 22?? I think it was??).

Sounds like a load of BS if you ask me, also there's no way new characters would be coming that soon (with Jill and Shuma releasing on the 15) and Capcom wouldn't have said/leaked something.

We probably won't hear/see the (last) two DLC characters until April at the earliest most likely.

I would be appalled if Capcom continues to add more characters. Looking at the Character Selection grid, it looks like it'll hold 4 more characters. You'd expect them to add more characters to outstretch that grid.

I haven't found too many problems with the netplay.. and I'm playing from BC, Canada against friends on the east coast. Running Zero / Wesker / Sentinel right now. Ranked is a joke so far. 20-0 on day 2, most people can't even aerial rave, or connect anything but a medium from standing S. A lot of people haven't figured out any good frame traps or wake-up games yet either so you're way ahead of the pack if you have any of that in your arsenal.

Sentinel w/ lv3 X-Factor is stupid. 820k damage from a 5-hit ground combo, or 1m from a 6 hit ground-to-air with HSF finisher. Wesker's basic BnB does about 600-650k depending on how you place your super at the end. Zero's pressure is crazy, and is probably one of the best assists in the game.

Sorry, I was wrong, DLC is March 15. But he did say he had a pic of Strider...I need to double check this.
