[CS1] Valkenhayn Video Posting

Recommended Posts

I think I'll keep uploading Nico vids to YT like these in the future if there's demand. For now, it's just the stuff I'll find interesting.

I cut out unnecessary footage, too.

2nd and 3rd match are Valk. Nice combos going on in here.

Haha, in the last match against the Tao, he hits her twice= she's dead.

We can also notice that the falling j.b, j.b combos become mandatory, all his BnB uses this pattern. Do they use this pattern instead of the easiest j.214B, D, 236 A, 236 B, CD, jB, dj JC because they want to save the wolf meter?

I ask this because I still have isues landing the falling double jB. combos. :p

Could we say their match up is most likely even, or still too early?

Still too early. We still have to see if Lambda will figure out something to keep him away. We saw in the second round that that specific lambda player learned to dash after the spikes as to not get caught in the wolf jump.

One thing is certain though... Valk has tools to play against zoners unlike early EARLY impressions that stated that zoners would demolish him.

He has options against zoners, big suprise. Good zoning will still be hard to deal with.

Right, that's supposed to be his weak point, but that video is showing that Valkenhayn can still advance on the zoners... He's no Tager or Hakumen by any means, which is what people thought initially. But still, we're gonna have to see how it all settles down at the end.

The one thing I like about this valk is his ability to adapt so fast, when she first did this valk was ch off a 5c, the second time he reinitiated wolf form upon landing (iirc), point is he can change his fighting style quickly to what his opponent is doing.
