+Sister attacks cost less meter, gauge recovery is faster

+Forward Step has more range, now cancelable earlier into "normal techniques" (whether this means normals or specials, I don't know, but Forward Step j.a sounds really dumb, gonna ask on the blog)

+On airhit, it's easier to get all the hits of Fucco

-Using the sister multiple times in a row costs more meter

-3D groundbounces (wat)

You see, there are some misconceptions here. From What I've read, Nirvana's meter usage when doing moves was toned down. This is good. The kicker however is that the amount of meter she consumes by doing two or more consecutive attacks without turning her off has increased X__X

Basically our zoning and rushdown is improved, but lockdown pressure and combos may have gotten hit a little. I'm not sure.

... wait a tick, if that ground dash thing in fact means we can cancel it into normals in the first 6 frames.... like dash-a-gretto only with normals, Does that mean we just got some new silly overhead hit bullshit? that seems silly. And the 3D thing is just mean. I dont care about silly unblockables, i want oki nonsense.

It still is useful as a tool to force people to stand, however it still acts as a reset for the few people who wish to stay rolling around on the ground. And if its anything like lambda then that means that its gonna have godlike P1 proration. Remember we dont know how the proration of our moves has changed so 3D>6C>5c>4D into our 4D combo as a lil reset. So dont sell poor little carl out just yet cause i think that might actually be a buff damage wise.... but a nerf in a different since. Also the new dash has to mean we can cancel our normals from our dash... seeing as how they used the term "techniques" as in plural. Last time i checked we only have one special attack in the air and that is allegreto so it must mean our normals... and quit frankly im very happy about our ada meter change not only will our combos be longer like cs1 but im hoping our damage will be back to the way it was. truthfully they shoould have took CS1 carl and just gave him the new jc & 3D and he would have been perfect imo... Im actually looking forward to the direction carl is heading in right now

And I'm trying to visualize what ground bounce on 3D would look like...o.O;

When they say ground bounce, I assume that it'll be like Lamdba's OTG 236D. If that's the case, then I'll happily take the change. 3D oki was gdlk and I'll miss it for sure but I'm fine with this since at least it can still catch tech rolls.

Not only that but if 6C truly causes knock back like ragnas berial egde then that means 6C>fermata GODLKIKE lol people better block that OH now for sure cause and single hit into fermata is a quick 5k doing easy mode combos lol for people who wana not tech 3D>j2callecan>6c>Fermata lol into GG's Carl is making me get all horny.Or 6C>3D>j2callecan>5c>4d combo anyone ^-^ smexy and depending on the new way fuacco hits 6c>fuacco>j2c-allecan>jb(3D)>jc>3D this will also help our N-C-O combos too. 5b>6b>623c>22D>2c>236a>jb>JB(3D)>jc>j2callecan>5c>jb>j2c>jb>jb>j2c>jc>8D,,,,,,,, 6C combos ftw. what are some basic combos for a new Carl player. I'm just now taking him seriously and I want to get all my bad habits out

Lls im pretty sure its time we got a combo thread,, and label it on difficulty of the combo.

But once again since your new im assuming you dont kno the carl terms..... u kno what just look on page 60 i think post number 565 i think :eng101:

So 6C and 3D both ground bounce now. Bouncy Carl sounds fun.

And I know that this wasn't much of a problem, and that the spacing for it was easy, but I'm really happy that they made Cantabile hit at point-blank now. It really sucked having it slide right past someone every 1 out of 100 times when the doll was just a bit too close.

it makes me wonder if it forces them forward to match the minimum distance on the original hit or if it actually catches them really close and tosses them directly above carl. Probably the former. also Cantabile was a little easier to whiff in the corner if you were being careless. and i will be the first to admit i'm a careless carl.

Theory silliness here: I wonder if the old j.c 3D knock down trick with 3D bouncing will still let you hit them with j.2c. and if its low enough, can you alle~can for more juggling. Still, if you can j.2C them you can j.C them again into the ground right on top of them. And it's always fun to play the tech game when your otg in sandwhich.

side note: "Extend" really makes me think BBCS Viagra.

Well if thats tru they would need to increse the active frames of the move which i highly doubt. Dont think of the speed of lambdas movve to be the same as our. Try to imagine lambdas 236D movingg as fast as Adas 3D. On another note,,, relius has a j2c just like carl O.O

I was literally thinking the exact same thing right before I read your post xD Like, exactly. Also you're the only other good Carl I've seen on xbl in CS2 lol

But yeah from the way they worded it I have a feeling 3D won't catch them on air hit and relaunch... But that may change so who knows.

No im pretty sure it will catch them on air hit,, its just the hits will go past very fast. Cause lambdas most definitely catches people out of the air her wall combos are 5c(8)>6c>236D

I only used 3D for unblockables and ninja lows so the only thing that really matters to me is that if I hit them and they are standing or crouching they will remain that way. Does Relius bounce during his j2C too, because my mental image for that is so lulzy.

Relius's j2C isn't as cool or as funny-looking as I thought. If consoles don't get the new version can we say they have ED? Carl can dash-jump. I haven't seen anyone else do it so now it's out there. Dash jumps.

yep we are able to cancel out jump into ja jb jc or jump cancel on the 6f. Im hoping this stays, 66>ja OH ftw that would mean we have a 9f OH ^-^ GDLK

well the bounce all depends on where it hits, since 3D hits 3 times, does it hold them and then bounce them on the last hit?

also 66j.A might become the CT alle~can overhead so idk if they'll let us keep it. jump canceling the hop might be interesting especially if it keeps it's momentum. Maybe it's to compensate for the removal of our glide throws... Since yuh know, the new puppet on the block gets a dash.
