[CSE] Tsubaki Yayoi Video Compilation 3.0 (Updated 4/7/13)

Recommended Posts

That Tsubaki was quite good but just got unlucky in a few instances. Kuno seems to have improved quite a bit.

The Tager match was pretty heartbreaking - just one more successful confirm would've won it.

Hummmm~ Watching those Kuresu matches makes me want to play some BB after not playing for like 2 weeks again.

Kuresu's gameplay was excellent.

I haven't seen a Tsubaki mirror in ages, and Ikki looked pretty vigilant with DP'ing Ke - ta P's pressure. Tried to bait it in the end but got thrown, that's kinda unlucky. Ikki looked like such a victim in the Jin match.

On a side note, I could not help but cringe for that Tager match :v:

I think his mistake was trying to dish out that punishment in the black palette!

y'know what. No mugen combos in the whole batch. Does seem like most of the time mugen doesn't make sense even now.

Japan players haven't EVER really been using Mugen; Like, every once in a while you'll see someone break it out and then get bursted, or drop the combo, but it's super rare. Come to that, I don't see Bat or Kiba using it much either in the videos they've posted.

This might reflect poorly on its usefulness.

Kuresu is starting to creep up as my favorite Tsubaki over Konan. BTW, Kuresu almost won that tournament, would've been a first that a Tsubaki won one on BBCSX?

The last time I remember seeing it, was during god's garden. Konan used it, got bursted, and then the right side of the screen was spammed with 'hint wa koromo'. at least it doesn't/didn't take a lot of practice to get it down.

God, I need to turn the sound off to watch those.

Off sync and terrible quality >_<.

Good job winning though, Kiba.

There was some nice play there. Glad to have watched them.

A little praise for you here, Kiba. :)

Also, what announcer is that?

Ah, I still find it quite overwhelming that I can be very influential on people but I'm not gonna let my modesty take over this. That's fantastic. Thanks.

Also, that's the Rachel announcer. Type B.

I can agree with you there.

It's always a pleasure to watch Konan and Kuresu play.

Nice to see Konan back in action.

He loves that 6B pressure reset and I like how he likes to go in for 5B or 5C continuation which should be really easy to mash out of if they were to attempt it but no one really seemed to try but 5B/5CC options would catch some backdashes so maybe that's why he was going for those.

I like his get in your face 5A corner trap catching people on front rolls but it did work against him a couple of times. He also used a lot of the 5BB > j.BB > j.C > 5C links which doesn't work on everyone but works particularly well on tall characters like Relius and Valk.

5C is probably more CH fishing - the range is short for trying to catch backdashes even if it's 'meaty' but 5B should be pretty good for stuffing backdashes now with its increased number of active frames. Might as well take advantage of that. ;)
