[CSE] Lambda Combo Thread

Recommended Posts

Seeing tuka's delayed 214A gave me a few ideas for some midscreen combos. Some are practical.

6B(5B) > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6122 damage, 55 heat

j.B > 4B > 2DD > 214A > 2147D > dashing 6A > 6C > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5663 damage, 59 heat

2B > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—5460 damage, 54 heat

[CH] j.B > dash > 3C > Delay 214A > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6027 damage, 54 heat

If anyone can get that last combo with j.B starter to work without a CH that would be awesome. I can't seem to make it work otherwise because the 214A delay whiffs.

Edit: Some more midscreen goodness.

236B > RC > 5DD > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6126 damage, [50] 47 heat [50]

[CH] 236B > RC > 236C > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > 632146D—6413 damage, [50] 43 heat [50]

Thanks for all your hard work guys. I have the game now, so I'll be testing/compiling all the combos in the thread as well as adding in some new ones and updating the first post. Expect to see a revamped thread within about a week. :)

Corner FC combos

[FC] 214A > 214D > 5C > 6C > 236D > 214D~C > 214D > 5C > 6C > 236C > 44B > 2DD > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > j.214D/Calamity - 5357/61 Cresent Ender

6397/(-50)11 Calamity Ender

[FC] 214A > 236D > 214D~C > 214D > 5C > 6C > 236C > 445C > 4B(2) > 2DD > 2147D > 6DD > 2DD > j.DD > j.2DD > jc > j.DD > j.2DD > j.214D/Calamity - 5820/63 Cresent Ender

I wish I could make video references but I don't have anything to record stuff with. :c

But yeah, I've posted this combo in the general thread before but I like it so much I'll post it here:

236236D->236D->214D©->2147D->66->6A->6C->236C->44->4B->2DD->2147D->66->6DD->2DD->hj.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.214D

(5694 Damage without super ender, 38 heat gained)

I'll try to make a video of it for you when I get the time :D

Does anyone have tips on how to get a reliable TK Crescent? I'm learning stick, and I can get it about three times in a row, then I won't do it again for five times. I seem to go either way of the sweet spot, getting spikes, or an aerial D, almost at random.

The motion is 2147D, which means -

spike = you didn't wait for the jump

j.d = you waited too much

Sounds pretty easy to me finding the sweet spot once you know those two.

Try purposely and consistently getting spikes/j.d for like 5-10 times and then adjust yourself accordingly to get the the TK, until you get that hang of it.

on some moves, I find it easier if you hold up then wait for the jump and then do the j.214D

6A, 6B, 5B are good moves to do

for example (combo) > 6A > [7/8/9] > j.214D is a very common one.

But for moves like 2C where there's no hitstop for you to buffer a jump it's better to do 2147D.

on 2DD you can do either depending on how high you want them, but I usually do 2147 because you usually want them lower so the hitstop time is already gone but you can still jump cancel.

Combo Video

Finally completed the combo video I set out to do. Not perfect by any regard but it got done. Beave, your combo is somewhere in the middle of the video.

Thanks all for watching.

edit: I think I will do some more video references for combos that don't have one in this thread. If you have a combo you want in the video that doesn't have a reference, let me know and I'll do my best to make a video for it.

I'm looking for some combo assistance with Nu for Abyss Mode (not Lamdba, I'm golden as her). I haven't been able to find much, as most of the videos are for CT (and it doesn't help that many of those are far above my skill level anyway). I'm still a bit of a noob (I can't beat Unlimited Hakumen in Score Attack, but I can get to him without breaking my 3DS), so I'd prefer more simple combos.

Just a note: I primarily play CS2 as my brother monopolizes the 360 (thus denying me CSEX), but combos for either game would be welcome.

X (eg.5DD) > 236B > 236C > Parser Forward > D swords

In the corner, that turns into the TK Loop.

That's all you really need to know. If it's Abyss, you can use the CPU's AI against it, and abuse its weakness.

D swords > Parser back

If you need more clarifications or examples, let me know.

Some random combos I did:

236236B>214A>Burst X2>4B>2DD>2147D>5Cx8>6C>236D>214D~C>236C>445Cx8>2C>Air Swords>j.632146D (7.1K, 100% meter, Gravity used)

2C(CH)>wait>j.2DD>j.214D~C>j.5C>2DD>214A>2147D>66A>6C>236C>662DD>6DD>2DD>Air Swords>j.632146D (4.4K, 50% meter, Gravity Used)

Also, x>236B>665A>66A>TK>6A>6C>236C>ender still works.

More:

{6A}

6A(CH)>3C>214A>4~B>2DD>2147D>5DD>236C>6DD>2DD>j.5DD>j.2DD>dj.5DD>j.2DD>j.632146D (4.9K, 50% meter, Gravity Meter)

6A(AACH)>663C>214A>4~B>2DD>2147D>5DD>236C>6DD>2DD>j.5DD>j.2DD>dj.5DD>j.2DD>j.632146D (4.8K, 50% meter, Gravity Meter)

{6D/2D antiair}

6D/2D(AACH)>236D>664B>2DD>214A>2147D>66A>6C>236C>6DD>2DD>j.5DD>j.2DD>dj.5DD>j.2DD>j.632146D. (5.4K, 50% meter, Gravity Meter)

Hello Lambda forums, I am new to this place. I was just wondering, isn't it easier to do 236D>236C>D combo instead of 236D>236C>Dash>5C(xN)>2C>Aerial D for the same damage?

What are you referring to? 236D > 236C does not connect for Lambda or for Unlimited Lambda (Nu) in any of the CS games.

Assuming you meant 236B > 236C, that means it's a Nu combo. In which case, what's easier for one person might not be easier for someone else. It just depends, a lot of the time.

...Ummm, 236D->236C does work Overheat.

It is easier, but it does not earn as much heat. Heat gain is, naturally, a high priority.

Yes it does, but you need to time the Cavalier properly. If you do it too soon, you just slam them into the ground as the attack hits before the Spike Chaser ends, and doing it too late means they can tech up and avoid the Cavalier entirely (and we all know how much it sucks to get punished off of Cavalier).

Timed properly, it's also a much safer way to lead into the Cavalier combos. The proper timing to start the command for Cavalier is somewhere around hit 4/5 of the Spike Chaser.

Yeah, don't worry. I know it works. I would've listed it as X > 236D > 236C (blue-beat punish or roll-tech punish), unless he was actually talking about a random 236D as the starter. But it was my mistake, in the end.

It's Sickle Storm, incidentally.

Heres a corner throw combo:

5BC>4B(2)>2147D>5CxN>6C>236D>214D~C>236C>446A>Air Swords>j.632146D

Unless you time it right, the 236D is techable though so it may be better to just skip that part.

Also for 7.5K:

214A(FC)>Double Burst>4B>632146D>5Cx8>6C>236D>214D~C>236C>445Cx8>6C>236C>446A>Air Swords>j.632146D

I still can't friggin top 8K ;~;

To answer your question, yes it is easier, but I'm assuming most people do the 5C version for the corner carry. Perhaps even to do 2C > 5C > 4B[2] instead for more damage.
