[CSE] Iron Tager Combo Thread

Ok basic poke combos are in the guide.

Before I continue on, do you guys want me to put the combos that cost meter in a separate post, like the MTW combos or just add them all in there?

Don't separate them. Tager's heat gain is such that in some cases, MTW is always possible anyway.

Also, you've listed a combo that starts 2B > 5C, is that possible now?

There's also some nonsense to be had with crouch loops I've seen, since against crouching opponents you can do:

5A > 5C > 6A > 236A, 5A > 5C > 6A > 2C > 623C....

probably squeezing in a 5B here and there if it's close or with magnetism.

I was screwing around in the lab with Tager a bit and found this one.

Do forgive me if this is something you guys already know about since I don't keep track of the Tager forums

While Magnetized, Mid screen

2C FC > 6C > j.2C > 3C > (AC) > j.2C > 5B> 5C > 6A > 2C > AC > 22D > 6C > j.2C > 3C > 22D

The damage isn't that great, 3.8k ish but the meter gain is stupid good(like 70 ish).

This is a basic BnB. I'm surprised you didn't find it in the combo thread. Is it really not there?

Is anyone else having trouble doing 360B, 3C, MTW on Noel? It doesn't seem to work on her magnetised or not. Also it seems like they nerfed A buster invul by 1 frame. It is now 4 to 11 according to Spark. Not 100% on these. Needs more testing.

for noel you can't 360B 3C MTW at all... the only way to combo it on her is :

with magnetism and you either 3C > AC whiff into MTW or you should do 360B > 3C > AC > gadjet whiff > MTW (not burst safe though).

I had trouble doing it on Lambda too.

Edit: I updated the thread a bit.

I barely use the laptop when I am on ps3 so I don't have damage and heat values.

2D,5A>5B>etc works on crouched opponent

Does that work on first active frame non-CH?

That implies a massive recovery or hitstun boost on 2D, and also implies that 5A connects after a slightly late 2D on standing opponents.

welp you can indeed link a 5A after a 2D non CH but for it to work you need to be really at the very end of the active frames... and you can sometimes follow it up with a 5B or either directly a spark bolt because of the pushback on 2D

Another link you can now do is 5A, 5B, 5C, AC on Rachel after the people's elbow. Just for those times where 5B is not quick enough. You can also follow up with 5A, 5B, 5C, AC after Hammer with the opponent in the corner. Now, i am talking about hitting them on the first active frame on a grounded opponent hammer. Not the bnb sledge hammer combo where you use a delayed Sledge Hammer on an airborne opponent to get them at the last active frames one. May not work for all. The 5B may whiff on some.

So going back to the links. I tested it again at the legendary PNW house, and you can use 5B in that Sledge Hammer corner link combo. Example corner combo: 5C (CH), 5D, A Sledge Hammer, 5B, 5C, AC, 4D (whiff), 3C, AC (whiff and opponent floats back to the other side), j2C, 3C, Gadget. 3769 damage.

Also, with the 5A link combo on crouching after 2D, you can do for example: 5C (CH at almost max distance), 2D, 5A, 5B, 5C, 6A, 3C, AC (whiff), j2C, 5B, 5C, 6A, 2C, AC, Gadget (whiff), 6C, j2C, 3C, Gadget. 3872 damage.

Yeah i know the starters are not too common, but had a few chances today to do it during casuals. The AC in the second combo may be hard to connect on some.

Right so in the corner Tager has 2 combo routes.

One with collider putting them in the corner and the other without collider.

One with collider to the corner goes.

Collider>j.C>j.B>5C>sledge>hammer>j.2C>5B>(5C)>4D

One with them in the corner already would be stuff>J.2C>5B>5C>sledge>hammer>5C>4D.

There is a difference.

I haven't tested the difference in heat gain but I do know you can do the latter off a 5A magnetized.

Something like:

5A>5B>3C>collider whiff>j.2C>5B>5C>A sledge>hammer>j.2C>5B>4D

It does 1.9k for 38 heat.

Ok I am gonna go back to doing this really really soon.

Here is the thing, since I won't be on the PS3 I won't be able to put in damage and heat values so you guys will have to bear with that.
