bucklemyshoe Report post Posted March 31, 2008 This is an easy match for I-No compared to most characters IMO. The key is to pay attention to trap placement. Use tk notes to disarm his webs. If he tries to exe beast you out of the note frc it. Chemical love pokes work well and a frc 66 follow up will disarm trees. You just have to watch out for his poison catch and being pushed into his curses.
bucklemyshoe Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Oh yea counter a blockstring with the hs stbt. The stutter is far safer than the counter hit launch with the s version which if jc into a combo could put you into a web asking for badlands.
feri Report post Posted March 31, 2008 j.p for disarm as well as notes.
Honnou Report post Posted March 31, 2008 I wouldn't call this an easy match at all, (Testament can and will be outzoning you) but it is true that I-no can hit testament across the screen with an HCL when he summons a tree/web. Beasts of both varieties can be FRC'd and there is no guaranteed hit against a cancelled one. I try my best to predict HS beasts which land free combos if jumped over. As far as HS beasts, don't predictably do notes when Testament is neutral because he can nail you for it. TK notes at certain heights are relatively safe. feri Report post Posted April 1, 2008 Its easy once you have him on the defense but otherwise you can be eating BL loops in the blink of an eye if your not careful.
Industry Report post Posted April 9, 2008 So I-no can not 66 over the little ex. beast?
Doomscyther Report post Posted April 24, 2008 Doomscyther vs Vegta
bucklemyshoe Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Good job Vegta, even though you lost. I thought you handled that match pretty well. If he tries to exe beast you out of the note frc it. Bonus points for FRCing out of the note to dodge the exe beast!

bucklemyshoe Report post Posted April 25, 2008 yea the combo at 5:40 was nice! makes you wish the proration on 2k didn't suck the damage out of combos so bad.
whytesakura Report post Posted June 25, 2008 -ino vs testament is def not easy..what i would try to do is find a safe way in using notes and chemical love then test those reflexes with i-no mix up; end all combos with some a knockdown or tech trap, then test those reflexes some more. -fighting against hsexebeast is like saying that it won't come out and put the whole game back to where you have to find a way in around phantom soul, hitomi, 6k/6hs, or zeinest
phytoporg Report post Posted November 23, 2008 I just had a full day of fighting my friend's testament so I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring... The only "safe spot" that isn't right in Testament's face seems to be just outside the range of exebeast. Otherwise, Testy's got his shit everywhere and any telegraphed approach can be killed with badlands or 2H if you're a little closer. It seems like the only good time to get a note out is in the aforementioned safe spot, on knockdown or TKed at max range (just above exebeast range). Also, you can totally stbt under forward exebeast on reaction (that thing stays out for a while), so you should get a free CH on any testament abusing that. I try and stay in the "safe zone" and create openings for approaches with notes and CL. Once in, apply pressure generously; Testament's defensive options seem pretty limited... just watch for counter, wakeup super and 2H on dash-in.
whytesakura Report post Posted November 25, 2008 you have to scare testament by staying out of range of his moves. you don't want to stroke under exebeast. you can stroke at close range where hsexebeast doesn't hit but otherwise stroking to get in is not a good idea. there are two safezones, one outside of 6hs distance and the other out of back exebeast
feri Report post Posted November 26, 2008 TK badlands reaches further than 6h and is -7 on block (thats half as laggy) o_o... safe zone is much futher out than you think + he can exe beast you when you tk note from far away.
whytesakura Report post Posted November 27, 2008 im aware thats why you have to pretty much do a jumping hcl
whytesakura Report post Posted November 27, 2008 i mean note xDDDD..in this fight you don't want to really try to zone. you want to manuever around and catch him with hcl and catch whiffs with dives. jumping punch is pretty good but he has a godly j.s
bucklemyshoe Report post Posted November 27, 2008 Not adding any useful tips. I just want to say I absolutely love this match. It's deffiniatly in my top 3 match ups. Maybe 1 Potemkin 2 Eddie 3 Testement 4 I-No Mirror
bucklemyshoe Report post Posted February 2, 2009 anyone else having trouble using 5K HCL 6FRC6 as a starter against Testement? I've been struggling getting my j.s to connect. I get it to connect every once in a while but haven't figured out if I'm pressing slash too slow or too fast because it works fine on the rest of the cast. mynusdono Report post Posted February 4, 2009 S STBT under predictable 6K's from testament. IB his block strings and tk S dive over HS EXE beast for free OMG dmg. also I-no can totally normal dash over Hitomi's so use that to your advantage following notes. be sure to utilize her amazing backdash to, well timed backdash will render a 2H from him useless. Really easy for I-no to keep momentum and get it back in this matchup. dont get predictable with CL's or even OD's as a good Testament will warrant your ass.
