[P4A] Yu Narukami - Combo Thread

What do you guys do after AA 2B without corner or meter? Do you go into j.2A? What's your full combo into it? Do you go for j.d after? Thanks.

Usually depends on how many of the hits land

If both hits land you can just 5C and hit confirm from there into an air combo, on counter hit if you wait like half a frame you can even land 5B - 5C to get slightly more damage out of it, I'm pretty sure you can get away with 2B(both hits) - sweep - Oki as well on air counter hit

If only one hit lands then it gets a bit tricker, I think with only one hit 5C will whiff so you can only super jump j.b really for the hit confirm

side note: I wouldn't recommend trying to go for j.D midscreen, too risky,

-2B(hits too high for 5C to connect) (sjA) jB jBB j2A

- CH 2B (delay) 2A+B 5D

And ill list approaching corner/meter ones while I'm at it

- approaching corner CH 2B delay 5C 2C(DC) 2A+B 5D

- " CH 2B IAD jB jC j214B 2B jC j214B 5D

- " [2B jC j214B]x2 5D

- 2B 5C sjB jC j214B(OMC) j214A 2B/5B jC j214B 5D

and you don't wanna do jD unless its really low down in corner, when you can meaty 5A after it. So after the j2As here you just do ground meaties.

Does Narukami have any OMB/OMC combos off of 5A/2A starter? I can't seem to find any.

Look at the wiki, there are quite a few of them in there.

Actually I neglected to add any from 5A/2A specifically. I haven't updated it in a long time :psyduck: I should

off the top of my head, pretty sure you can just do the same OMB combos as from a throw...or if you did 5A 5C 214D (cutting out the B's) you can do the same OMB combos as from 5B. I'll post ones here later if somebody doesn't do so before I get to it.

Edit: oh, well I did put some OMC but not OMB

Well I had this for a while, so why not share it already, but i dont remember 100% how much you can get off of it using other normals since school has started.

Apparently Narukami has a Chie-specifc-OMB combo.

Max damage you can get off 5C starter, doesnt have to be CH :

5C>214D>OMB>5D>214A>5B>5DD>214B>run up 5B>j.C>j.214B>2B>j.C>j.214A>5AA>5C>sj.bb>j.B+D>C-ziodyne (roughly 7.3k, almost 7.4k off CH, 50m)

Althought, it's very rare you'll be able to hit Chie with 5C starter, you can use the knowledge that etc>omb>5D>214A>5b>5DD>214B>etc works on chie and can cause full screen carry form corner to corner. I haven't checked other starters such as yolo-slides, j.b, j.a, 5a, 5b/2b, which you'll probably net somewhere between 5k-6k but i have checked up on 2a (which you can use during your oki mixups for a kill!)

with 2A starter (don't remember if you can add in a 5b before 5C and dash up 5C, and this can work anywhere on the screen!):

2A>2B>5C>214D>OMB>5D>214A>5B>5DD>214B>dash up 5C>j.bb>j.bb>j.B+D>C-ziodyne

you'll roughly get 4.8k(i think, if not theres a way to get 4.8k), pretty good damage off a shitty starter!

Another useful comeback combo you can use against anyone (This combo could probably get more damage w/o extra resources????)

Also, this combo is awakening only, doesn't require CH, and uses the IADj.AC that happens to be the new cool thing! And it can be done anywhere along the screen as long as you don't let them reach the corner, works wonders starting from the corner tho

5C>214D>OMB>cross-up CS(you can choose which side you want)>2B>5C>IADj.A>j.C>j.214B>5B>j.C>j.214B>2B>j.C>j.214A>CS (roughly 8.5k/100m)

And off 2a starter, I forget the exact combo, but you can reach 5.6k-5.8k for 100m using the similar combos etc>omb>cross-up>CS>IADj.AC>etc

EDIT: Actually, off ANY starter,even yolo-slide!, opting for etc>omb>crossup CS>IADj.AC>etc>CS will sky rocket the damage, and you get to choose which side you want to end up on for crossup-CS!

I need to learn all this wonderful new stuff with IAD jAC.

with the IAD delay jA jC, I remember trying these CH throw combos. Can't remember damage but I think it's more damage/corner carry than old stuff.

CH throw > dash 5B > 5C > IAD jA > jC > j214B > 5B > jC > j214A > 5A sjB+D > Ziodyne

CH throw > dash 5B > 5C > IAD jA > jC > j214B > 5B > jC > j214A > CS

I lied apparently, those CH throw combos I posted are too long. They're actually:

CH throw > dash 5B 5C > IAD jA jC j214A > 5A sjB+D > Ziodyne - 3419

While I'm at it, I've been trying other combos (some of which shown in LegendaryRath's recent vids) so I'll post them.
