Do we have a worthwhile counter hit combo? I've been looking for something to do with my counter hit 5Cs and all I can figure is to just air dash and get the couple of hits.

Looks like others have already started on it, but I'll comb it over tomorrow and add stuff. That reminds me of a thread I wanted to make though. . .

Midscren throw combo. updated, more damage & much harder for consistency. I may not use it, it's full of tight inputs.

Day 2 of my Naoto journey. I've been playing around with hit confirms and some other stuff in the lab and I'm trying to come up with a good punish off of a 236A/B OMC into Naoto's 2A. As we all know, the second hit of 236A/B is an overhead, and players will begin to block high as they learn the Naoto max up, so to create a little 50/50 I OMC the first hit allowing me to ether go high with 5C or low with 2A, you can even cross up or fakie. The problem is I can't find a good 2A punish combo without using more meter, and now I'm wondering If anyone has a good 2A combo without using OMC.

I am having a tough time getting smp from a corner throw. I am trying to only use a OMB or 50% meter. I've come close but can't get it yet. Throws truly kill hit stun. :(

Because of the limited hitsun, we lose 2[C] link anything and 5C only goes into 236B w/ 5C having no decay.

W/ that being said, here are the only ways into 236B~D.

OMB, 236B~D

c (No decay), 236B~D

214D, 236B~D

blah blah blah

Iirc off of throw in the corner you can do

B+c~c > mudoon > 214c 214d > c trap goes off > 236a~b~d > d trap goes off > 2a > 5b > 5c > (236b~d )xN

I like the idea. I don't know how far Naoto would be without practicing it myself, but a theory combo that comes to mind is

2a > 5b > 5c > 236B~CCCCC

Or if you have the meter for it

2a > 5b > 5c > 2C > 236236D > Dash > 214 D > 2AB > 236A~D > D Trap hits > 2[C] > 5C > 236Bxn

Definitely experiment with it.

Edit: As far as position goes there's always dashing to get as close as you can. With that in mind, you should be good to perform said combos.

I cannot activate SMP off of throw & OMB. wtf. here's the combo's that should work. everything connects, just SMP doesn't activate.

- C+D~C, 2B, B, C, SJ.A, J.B, J.C, J.D, OMB, 214D, AA, 236A~D, (D-trap hits), 236B~D, First one connects, cannot continue 236B. (14 attacks)

- C+D~C, 2B, B, C, SJ.A, J.B, J.C, J.D, OMB, 214D, 236A~D, (D-trap hits), 236B~D, First one connects, cannot continue 236B. (12 attacks)

- C+D~C, 2B, C, SJ.A, J.B, J.C, J.D, OMB, 214D, 236A~D, (D-trap hits), 236B~D, First one connects, cannot continue 236B. (11 attacks)

- C+D~C, 2B, B, J.B, J.D, OMB, 214D, AA, 236A~D, (D-trap hits), C, 236B~D, First one connects, cannot continue 236B (12 attacks)

I am concluding you cannot pickup SMP loop w/ corner throw and only OMB. :(

That Teddie version works great, 4184dmg, Seems Muhdoon increases hitstun enough to give us back 2[C] link making SMP setups pretty typical. =D

I found one worth a little more damage I like better. b/c the 236A~B~D feel so akward & I cannot get it to recover fast enough for 2[C] follow up. Anyways, 4761 dmg, corner throw, works on Teddie too.

Kyle, that's all because hitstun delay is horrible by that point, but I took a sec and made a SMP off throw and OMB combo.

C+D~C > 5C > j.B > j.C > j.D > OMB > 214D> 236A~B(1 hit)~D > (D-trap hits) > 236B~D x3

I was about there. After getting the SMP from corner throw, C, 236236D... It proves the throw and follow-up "C" each count as a unique attack. So my earlier combos were way exceeding the 10 count. was about to scale it back & you just beat me to it.

- C+D~C, C, J.B, J.C, J.D, OMB, 214D, 236A~B~D, (D-trap hits), 236B~D, 236B~D, 236A~D: 3128 dmg, 2 skulls

I am disappointed the dmg is so low for a OMB. Seems like a waste of resources. Suppose if it gets you the kill...

You can get a couple of reps (3~4 I think) with Mudoon from:

CD~C > 236236D > 66 > 214D > 5AA > 236A~D > Trap Hits > 2[C] > 5B > 5C > [236B~D]xn. Pretty sure I've done 4 off of that.

Can anyone confirm the optimal midscreen air throw combo w/ 50% meter. Is it best w/ double air dashes or 236B~D into an airdash...

Anyone is welcome to test & confirm dmg plz. I will not be in training mode tonight. I am thinking one of these is the answer.

J.C+D, OMC, J.C, Land, 66, B, C, 236B~D, 66, C, 236A~D - 3,405

This combo does the most damage. I had to take out the last IAD j.B > j.C since the Double Fangs A wouldn't connect after the 5C. Doing the same combo with j.A will make the subsequent j.C whiff.

With the double airdash combos, I couldn't get the second airdash chain to connect fully. If someone else wants to give it a shot then go ahead, but this is the easiest combo I found that did good damahe

Done and thanks again. :keke: I put they all looked like midscreen combos so I put them under there. If that's not the case please correct me lol.

Something I've noticed w/ SMP combos is that similar moves count as separate moves, such as the first 4 shots being separate from the 5th, 2[C] from 2C. Are there any other examples of moves like this?

Also, what combos (both meterless and w/ meter) are people doing off of CH j.C (both on airborne and grounded opponents)? Meterless air-to-air I've been using CH j.C>5C>236B~D>dash 5C>IAD j.A>j.C>236A~D

EDIT: and on the subject of 5D~D combos I got 5D~D>2C>236236D>214C>214D (214C hits)>236A~D (214D hits)>2[C]>5AA>5C>SMPx13>236A~D for 9.9k damage

Your meterless combo right there is the best I could come up with too except I added one more 5C at the end for a tiny bit more damage .

Since we're on air throws.

JC+D, OMC, J.C, 5B, 5C, 2C, mudoon, 214D, sweep, 236A, [2]C, 5C, smp loop.

Pretty much babbies first SMP off of air throw. You have to be somewhat near a corner, this one actually carries a good amount, not 236AB good, but it's alright.

Anyone have a better one off air throw?
