What I really want to know is why SF Alpha 3 hasn't gotten the Iron Galaxy online port treatment. Unlike Third Strike, I never get sick of that game.

 

I guess they're worried about it seeming redundant when SFIV exists, but it totally isn't.

I recall Capcom saying they weren't doing any more next-gen ports for their classic fighters after Third Strike Online and Darkstalkers Resurrection failed to meet their totally absurd sales projections.  To be fair, the market is pretty oversaturated with 2D fighters as it is.  New game announcements that would have given me a hype attack five years ago are now with the usual response of "Oh, that's neat.  I probably won't buy it, but still..."
