On second thought this rumor feels so ridiculous to me, I actually want to believe it. I just cannot imagine how Rise would fight.

That source doesn't really look legitimate, so I'd say the best option is to wait until the 25th.

On the rumour: Ken sounds like a believable possibility but Rise, on the other hand has a Persona that isn't meant to have any fighting abilities. Then again, she can participate in an all out attack in Golden so the chances of her being a playable fighter isn't exactly 0% either. Still not counting on it, but if she does make the cut, it would be a nice surprise.

And wow, the Ken Hate on that other forum is downright violent. On the event that he's added to the roster, I may end up maining the poor little guy out of pity.

I'd rather play Koromaru because I know he would have a sick Valkenhayn-like wolf style. Maybe if we replace Rise with Adachi everything will be fine.

Maybe somehow though, Rise got a new Persona that can fight and scan like Mitsuru's. And if she really IS playable, she'll probably play kinda like Azrael with his weakness crap.

I made a hypothetical moveset for Rise

Normal Attacks
5A: A forward kick
5AA: Rise delivers a vertical whack to the opponent with her megaphone
5AAA: Rise grabs a microphone stand and swings it forwards
2A: A crouching kick 
5B: Rise yells in her megaphone and creates a speech bubble effect (similar to Kanji's 5B)
2B: Rise grabs a microphone stand and swings it upwards
5C: A forward thrust with Himiko
5D(weakness scan): Himiko spawns a projectile that creates a weak point on the opponent on hit. Once an opponent has their weakness exposed, some of Rise's attacks will have new properties (Such as fatal counter, crumple, etc. Similar to Azrael from BlazBlue)
j.A: Rise quickly takes out her microphone and thrusts it forward
j.B: Rise swings a microphone stand at a 45 degree angle
j.C: Same as the ground version.
j.D: Same as the ground version. Projectile spawns at a 45 degree angle.
Reversal: Himiko creates a protective barrier around Rise. Deals low damage and knocks the opponent back. 
 
Skills
Risette♥Special: Rise sings into her microphone, causing musical notes to appear that knock the opponent upwards.
Third Eye: Summons spherical eye on a field that acts like a bomb. Can be manually detonated. Automatically explodes when the opponent comes in contact with it. 
Mind Slice: Himiko fires a beam of light that dissipates after a certain point. (Air OK)
 
SP Skills
Full Analysis: Himiko scans the opponent and creates a weakpoint. Lasts for 20 seconds. (Deals low damage)
Relaxing Wave: Rise's healthy slowly starts to regen (ala Junpei's Victory Cry). The effect is cancelled when Rise is hit.
 
Awakening Skill
Supreme Insight. All normal hits cause weaknesses OR all counterhits become fatal counters.
 
Instant Kill: The All Out Attack from Persona 4: Golden! If the opponent happens to be P4 character, they willbe omitted from the All Out Attack.
 
I drew from her natural skillset in P4, the P4G additions and even her Shadow.

Man Ken is super hot in most of the Japanese fanart, I'm sure he'll live up to the hype. Although it'd be funny if he became a fat otaku loser since P3.

I almost got excited about this rumor, but then realized that Rise is not Fuuka. Ken can be pretty damn cool, though, looking forward to him.

Well, considering that if they add Ken and Rise to the game it will probably open up 4 slots...

(Or maybe they'll just readjust the current CSS without losing symmetry and don't add anybody else just to insult everyone)

Who could be the other 2 characters? The most likely to appear are Adachi, Makoto/Minato/Blue Hair and Koromaru (Valk's Wolf hitbox could work).

Too bad we'll never see The Reaper in a fighting game. He's way too broken.

Won't be surprised if Rise ends up similar to Yukiko: a Persona-dependent glass cannon.

 

You're thinking of Lizzie for that one. Yukiko's toolset much more dedicated to (and better at) zoning than Lizzie who is supposed to be a Persona+SP-dependent cannon. I will grant you that she is pretty dependent on Konohana-Sakuya for her zoning though, but her damage is not explicitly high unless you do some Fire leveling.

Why are people wanting Koro in this game? His hitbox would be tiny as hell. The same reason that Jubei isnt in BB.

Jubei - Put him in his armor, add it to his hitbox like Carl's hat

Koromaru - Got fully grown between P3 and P4U or something like Jojo'sIggu

Luminos is right on this one, Shoryusatsu.  If ANYONE can be dubbed P4A's glass cannon, it's our Lizzie, especially with the nerf to Mind Charge giving us back Blue Health to heal up.  Also, for what it's worth, Best Buy has completely yanked that description and release date from their website.  All it says now is, "This Item Is No Longer Available," and that the item is out of stock, so....

I had thought that Ken was a possibility, but I thought we would see an Adachi update before anything. I can't help but feel excited now that information could be on the horizon. Damnit, A week is so long...

Guard Cancel Evasive Action:
- Counter instead of a Fatal Counter
- Total number of frames decreased, moving distance increased
 
Shadow:
- Maximum health of the Shadow characters has been increased a lot
- Awakened SP Skills can now be used with the cost of 50 SP
- During the Shadow Berserk, the cost for One More Cancel and Guard Cancel has been halved
- If the Shadow Berserk is activated from a standing position, the opponent can now move during that time. But... your character is now completely invincible during the activation animation.
- Works the same old way if you use the Berserk to cancel something
 
S-Hold System
- We shortened the time before the gauge appears 
- Meter that has been charged to MAX stays on the screen for a longer time now before it disappears
 
All-Out Attack: C-Finish
- Gives you always a Fatal Counter no matter how much you mash buttons during the All-Out Rush.
 
Training
- Forced Fatal Counter added to Counter settings from 4+START 
 
Others
- We loosened the conditions for a "Rank Matches" to appear
- We fixed the bug that made it impossible to continue playing the game in a certain condition.

 i think the notes for mitsuru say:

*5A pushback reduced
*sweep feint low profile duration reduced (?)
*can cancel last half of any bufula summon animation into any coup droit
 
 
edit: i really like the junpei change, makes points still more important, but he seems to get points pretty easily once he can clean hit people. i guess that's quite the balancing act they've got to handle.
 
also, i'm surprised the changes are this small. i figured it'd be more drastic. maybe they're saving that for when the console version comes out with the supposed 2 additional characters.
