[ABC]EX Burst Attack

[Damage: 326(A)/290(B)]

Melee

[5B]
5BBBBB - Multiple hits with Gerbera Straight.
[Damage: 223]

5BB-8B - A few hits with Gerbera Straight into the BuCUE beam saber.
[Damage: 189]

5BBB-2B - Multiple hits with a Gerbera Straight into a piledriver.
[Damage: 215]

5B-AB - Red Frame does one slash with Gerbera Straight, then detaches from the flight pack and launches the opponent.
[Damage: 109]

5BB-AB - Red Frame a few slashes with Gerbera Straight then detaches from the flight pack and launches the opponent.
[Damage: 156]

5BBB-AB - Red Frame a few slashes with Gerbera Straight, then detaches from the flight pack and launches the opponent.
[Damage: 192]

5BBB-AB - Red Frame a few slashes with Gerbera Straight, then detaches from the flight pack and launches the opponent.
[Damage: 217]

[8B]
8BB - A thrust with Gerbera Straight into an overhead slash.
[Damage: 132]

8B-2BB - A thrust with Gerbera Straight into a backwards toss and overhead slash. Damage varies based on how many hits you allow 8B to do before canceling into 2B. Many important combos require that 8B only hits once.
[Damage: 146-177]

8B-AB - A thrust with Gerbera Straight, then Red frame detaches from the flight pack and launches the opponent. Noticed a pattern yet?
[Damage: 111]

[4/6B]
4/6BBB - A 3 hit punch combo that ends with one of those cool shoulder slams like the ones Yun does.
[Damage: 178]

4/6B-AB - Red Frame does a single punch, then detaches from the flight pack and launhes the opponent.
[Damage: 110]

4/6BB-AB - Red Frame does 2 punches, then detaches from the flight pack and launhes the opponent.
[Damage: 159]

[2B]
2B - A melee counter where Red Frame shields himself with a big metal plate. If it hits, Red Frame retaliates with the BuCUE beam saber. It can block a few projectiles, but breaks if it takes too many hits. One of the better counters, but that's not saying much.
[Damage: ?]

[bD8B]
BD8BB - A slash > uppercut > slash combo.
[Damage: 190]

BD8B-8B - A slash > uppercut > BuCUE beam saber spin combo.
[Damage: 199]

BD8B-2B - A slash > uppercut > piledriver combo.
[Damage: 201]

[bC]
BC-BB - A few punches into an energy ball discharge.
[Damage: 246]

[8BC]
8BC - Red frame discharges an energy ball and rushes hand-first into the opponent.
[Damage: 155]

[AC→A]
AC-A - Red frame does an overhead slash from the Iai dash and blasts the opponent forward.
[Damage: 112]

[AC→AB]
AC-AB - Red frame does rapid slashes from the Iai dash, with the opponent being launched away at the end.
[Damage: 162]

AC-AB-B - Red Frame does rapid slashes from the Iai dash, then steathes Gerbera Straight and magically makes the opponent explode. Damage varies depending on when you cancel AB into B. Won't come out if the last hit of AB connects before you press B.
[Damage: 219-250]

The notation that may be used is as follows:

→: indicates that the move functions like a gatling, e.g. RX-78 cancelling a beam rifle shot into a bazooka shot(A→AB)

>: indicates a side step

>>: indicates a boost dash

FC Combos

Demo from arcade EXVS, still relevant.

Red Frame's AC-A has an interesting property where if it done with the opponent at a certain angle, Red Frame will whiff and slam onto the ground instead of doing the usual fixed height slam. This can be used in combos to launch the opponent high into the air while getting yourself back to the ground as quickly as possible. Combos that make use of this technique will be listed first, since they are super handy, and usually the combos of choice; an exception being if your partner has the other opponent 100% occupied, giving you an opportunity to do the strongest combo you can. Why it's called an FC is beyond me. It was nerfed a bit coming from EXVS, so the super high FC combos no longer put Red Frame on the ground. Why it's called an FC is beyond me.

When you rainbow step into A→AC-A, do it with 88 to get directly underneath the opponent and hit the required angle for the FC to work.

Notes

A>>BD8B-2B>8B-2B>A→AC-A

182

Sidestep from BD8B-2B when Red Frame is still spinning in the air. Step from 8B-2B with 88 and input A→AC-A quickly.

8B must only hit once for this combo to work, so cancel to 2B ASAP.

A>>BC-B>A→AC-A

192

4/6BB>A→AC-A

203

Super quick combo, doesn't hard KD but does a solid chunk of damage quickly.

4/6BB>4/6BB>A→AC-A

224

Probably a combo you'll make use of frequently.

4/6BB→BC-B>A→AC-A

240

Now that BC is faster, this combo is a lot better.

BD8BBB>4/6BB>A→AC-A

265

BD8BB-2B>4/6BB>A→AC-A

221

Takes the opponent pretty high up. Known as the medium-height FC.

BD8BB-2B>>BD8BB-2B>8B-2B>A→AC-A

228

Takes the opponent as high as they can go. Known as the high-height FC.

BD8BBB>BC-B→AC-A

236

BC-B>BC-B→AC-A

271

Max damage FC combo.

Don't say that, buddy. I know some Red Frame players who'll be pleased to share their thoughts and knowledge about the suit. People are more curious about the new FB units I guess.

Give it a week. Red Frame is like the Ken of this game. It's gonna be the most popular suit among new players (along with Wing suits) because "Wowie zowie, a Gundam with a katana!"

Nothing really to add just yet but Red frame is one of my fun suits, I like the look of his combos and just go balls deep when I use him. I finally got the game today and just tried using him, only to find out his special combo from the dash is gone :(

New 8BC is great. High priority, goes active early unlike normal melee attacks, feels like a new key tool in his arsenal.

Bumping this dead-ass thread ><;

So I'm working on the Red Frame wiki and have a question regarding the FC combos (btw, FC comes from "Final Cutter" - Kirby's attack in Kirby's Dreamworld, Super Smash Bros (up-B), etc), particularly his BRAC~A versions. Whenever I test these the BR always downs the opponent before the AC~A even has a chance to hit. What's going on here? Is the BR supposed to somehow miss?? I'm doing the forward-step the wiki calls for...

Also, @Amuro, if you're talking about the hundred slicesexplosion move, that's still in, it just got moved to AC→Sub

the final cutter combos are for cut resistance, long knockdown, and decent oki positioning. the BR is supposed to hit and down while the final cutter followup is intended to whiff.

You can see an example of what it's supposed to look like at 0:38 seconds in that particular replay
