VR-Raiden Report post Posted October 16, 2014 Since we have practically training mode for bit, I figured we can open this thread for combo posting and discussion. I have been updating the combos list on his wiki for now http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Sol_Badguy_(GGXRD)#Combos If you see a combo there that needs fixing or one that is not listed, post about it. VR-Raiden Report post Posted October 17, 2014 Final Ultima updated the first post to have all the combos which were in the wiki so far. Both will be updated as stuff comes up. Some character specific notes, I think I went through the whole cast but correct me if I'm wrong on anything. 5D > Homing Dash > 6H > BB etc fails on Faust. Any time you go for j.D, falling j.K (JC) > Kudakero route (such as after Fafnir), the j.K whiffs on medium-light/lightweights (Millia, Ino/May Ramlethal). Non-DI Kudakero loop, such as 5K > 6P > 5HS/2HS (JC) > [j.D > Kudakero]xN works on Slayer. I haven't found anyone else yet. It's also pretty finnicky and I haven't actually ended it, but got 3 reps once. Midscreen 2D > BR(RC) > airdash j.S > j.K > j.D > etc fails on Ky, nothing out of the airdash hits him. Haven't found anyone else like that yet. EDIT: Here is when I got the Kudakero loop on Slayer going for a bit http://www.twitch.tv/vrraiden/b/578835031?t=2h50m27s This was apparently in some Machaboo notes a while back but I hadn't seen it in match vids yet. Not sure how long it can go, maybe up to that. Also interestingly enough, PBB can connect on grounded opponents when tiger knee'd off 2H?http://www.twitch.tv/vrraiden/b/578835031?t=3h18m24s

Demerson Report post Posted November 30, 2014 Fafnir, dash 6P > Gun Flame, 2HS (JC) > j.D, falling j.D |> delay j.D or [dash j.D, falling j.K (JC) > j.D] > Kudakero |> 6P > Bandit Revolver Was trying this combo out earlier and I couldn't get the falling j.D to connect. Sol would make the sound that the move is coming out, but he'd land before it actually became active. Tried to alter my timing a bit, but I'm not really sure where I'm going wrong on it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Any advice would be appreciated. Most likely the issue is you aren't hitting the first j.D after 2HS (JC) fast enough, it needs to hit on the way up as soon as possible to give enough time for the falling j.D. It should connect without them falling at all in air after the 2HS.And if trying on Sin, just be concerned with the part in brackets. We need to add dash before the delay j.D option (that option was added for light weights which falling j.K doesn't work on, but need training mode to determine it's real worth). Kikuichimonji Report post Posted December 6, 2014 That first post scares me. Too much info. What's the best option for Dustloop versus lightweights like Milia? I know Fafnir whiffs after 1 rep. I know there was a combo with something like a falling j.k double jump or something? Also if I do 2 reps after Wild Throw, I can never land the Otoshi after j.k j.d dj.s j.d VV because I get pushed out horizontally. I'm fairly sure that I'm doing a run jump. Orrax Report post Posted December 6, 2014 If you're getting pushed too far out, you can always just leave out some jump normals. Maybe try something like: Corner: WT > dash > 2H > j.D - j.D > j.D - j.D > dash > j.D > slight delay > jc > j.D > VV > kick.

After 2 DL reps you have to dash j.D JC j.D VV. Most player do this since it's mostly guaranteed and doesn't require hight adjustment.
VR-Raiden Report post Posted December 10, 2014 Here's a mostly burst safe WT combo:WT, delay j.S > j.K > j.D |> Fafnir, BB, dash 6P > (delay) 5HS/2HS (JC) > j.D > Kudakero |> 6P > BR = 155 on AxlWorks on Axl, Potemkin, Sin. It's more strict with timing the first part on Sin, Fafnir tends to whiff him if not timed perfectly. On Ramlethal and Bedman, I'm able to get the first part, but the Fafnir won't connect.Hold downback during the first part, if they burst any hit, you block or 2D under their burst. If they burst after j.D and you put Fafnir in, they whiff over and you can just punish the burst after you recover from Fafnir. You get 100 damage guaranteed before they're able to burst safely (when you BB). Works from a WT on opponent at 2P starting position.

Kikuichimonji Report post Posted December 12, 2014 Any tips on doing dustloops on sin? Pretend he's Milia? He seems pretty light. Edit: He has about the same weight class as Venom. I thought he was light because j.D j.D Fafnir would occasionally whiff on him, but I just wasn't delaying Fafnir enough.
VR-Raiden Report post Posted December 12, 2014 Any tips on doing dustloops on sin?Sin acts like a medium weight. He doesn't seem to have anything strange for dustloops to me. What specifically is giving you issues?
Kikuichimonji Report post Posted December 13, 2014 In corner vs Sol, VV > RC > Gunflame > j.D j.D > j.D j.D > dash j.K j.S > dj.S j.d > HS VV > Otoshi does 194 on Sol. VV > RC > Gunflame > j.D j.D > Fafnir -> dash 6P 2HS j.D Break 6P Bandit Revolver does 199 on Sol. 5D > Homing Dash > delay 6HS > Bandit Bringer, Fafnir, dash 6P > (delay) 5HS/2HS (JC) > j.D > Kudakero |> 6P > (delay) Bandit Revolver does 166. Corner Wild Throw > dash under 5HS j.D j.D j.D j.D > run j.K j.D dj.S j.D > HS VV > Otoshi does 149. Corner Wild Throw > j.D j.D > Fafnir > dash 6P 2HS j.D Break 6P Bandit Revolver does 155. Midscreen, VV RC Gunflame > dash cl.S JI 2HS > sj.S j.K j.S dj.S j.HS > HS VV > Otoshi does 177, but I'm only getting 1 hit of HS VV. Why do people do Wild Throw -> 2HS instead of 5HS? 5HS does more damage, they seem to have the same float properties. 5HS does more damage. When you dash under in the corner, doing 5HS means you have to wait less after the crossup dash to hit them at the correct height. And if somehow you manage to hit them at that terrible low height where it's not OTG but j.D whiffs, you can gatling to 2HS as an "Oh shit I dropped the combo" option and finish. I also really don't understand why sometimes j.D Break whiffs completely at the end of combos vs Venom, but it works fine other times.
entnervt Report post Posted December 13, 2014 Because you're not close enough, I would try a route with dash j.D>Break>etc., that way you're close enough.
Kikuichimonji Report post Posted December 13, 2014 In Accent Core, Slash air VV -> Otoshi was more consistent than HS VV -> Otoshi. It seems to be the opposite in Xrd? Sometimes you get 1 hit of HS only, but the Otoshi will still combo usually. Is there ever a reason to use air Slash VV to end combos over HS VV? If you fail to get the dash before the corner j.K j.S dj.S j.D ender, you can and probably should cancel the last j.d into air Bandit Revolver. The enemy techs with enough time for you to react and air throw/anti-air with 5K. Also, I really like 2D Bandit Revolver RC > late j.D > Fafnir > dash 6P 5HS > j.D Break > 6P Bandit Revolver. You can confirm off a random 2D really simply. 2D Gunflame RC > cl.S > (Gunflame hits) > Bandit Bringer > stuff definitely does more damage though. Also, I can't get 6P nor Bandit Revolver off 2D Gunflame RC > cl.S > (Gunflame hits) > Bandit Bringer > dash 5HS > j.D j.D > Fafnir > 6P 5HS > j.D Break. Best I could get was cancel the last 5HS into Volcanic Viper for 207 damage. What's the best combo after 2D -> Tyrant Rave? If I go the 2HS j.D j.D Fafnir 6P 5HS j.d Break route, Break won't combo. 2HS j.D j.D > run j.K j.S dj.S j.D HS VV does 229. Because you're not close enough, I would try a route with dash j.D>Break>etc., that way you're close enough. But I want to do Fafnir And I can be doing the exact same combo (dustloop Fafnir 6P 5HS j.D Break) and it will work some times but not others. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I'm not delaying the 5HS enough after the 6P and that stops them from bouncing out of the corner as far and ruins the spacing in a way I can't tell on screen. If I go the 2HS j.D j.D Fafnir 6P 5HS j.d Break route, Break won't combo. 2HS j.D j.D > run j.K j.S dj.S j.D HS VV does 229.Venom and Zato are known to cause problems with Kudakero in highly prorated combos, you can see that it hits a little bit later on them than on others in combos. I'm not sure if these are the only 2 like this, but can definitely confirm that there's an issue on those 2.I'd have to double check, but I remember getting the usual 1 rep to Fafnir to usual ender but it was tight. 1 rep to the dash j.D, falling j.K (JC) j.D Kudakero route definitely works though, and might do more than 229. Still going through this thread updating and adding dmg values.
Final Ultima Report post Posted December 13, 2014 I also really don't understand why sometimes j.D Break whiffs completely at the end of combos vs Venom, but it works fine other times. Venom and Zato have problematically thin hitboxes in the air. I'd advise using delay 2HS against them. 2HS's faster start-up allows you to delay longer than 5HS and lets Venom and Zato get closer and gain additional height, preventing them from being too far after the j.D for Kudakero to connect.
