Dacidbro Report post Posted July 24, 2014 Hello everyone! Let me first thank the people behind GameCenter and NorCal Dogfight (Myung, Alex, Fred, Jeffrey) for allowing this RanBat to exist! We're extremely fortunate in Northern California to have such a warm and cozy venue to host our events, and I hope support for this RanBat will in turn support the venue.What is the "Year of Anime Seasonal RanBat"? The Year of Anime Seasonal RanBat is putting points and prizes towards uniting the currently separate premiere anime fighting games of AH3, AquaPazza, BBCP, DFC, GGXrd, P4U2, and UNIEL. A popular conversation every year is "Which Anime Fighting Game will be in EVO this year?", followed by abandoning all other anime FGs for the most popular one. This year, however, P4U2 and GGXrd are releasing alongside one another; I think it is easy to come to an agreement that both P4U2 and GGXrd deserve their moment in the spotlight! At this point, we will be best served by supporting all games possible. For each player who aims for the top placement in the RanBat, each community will be bolstered in attendance, competition, playstyles and matchups. Incidentally, the raised attendance for each game can be used to market all of our games for majors (including EVO!) in ways we could not as fragments. Popularity begets popularity, meaning it will also be more likely for complete newcomers to arrive as well, especially hot off the heels of the inspiring Blazblue performance at EVO2014.How does it work? Every player who enters at least 4 games (Subject to debate - is 3 or 5 better? Let us know in the comments!) is awarded 5 points on the spot.
