[P4AU] Yu Narukami Combo Thread

Yeah thats a good OMB combo I've gotten down. Question tho, is there a reason why the last Raging Lion sometimes causes a tech? Does Persona have an HSD timer of some sort?

 

And I strictly use RE for swag finishes. Pretty sure there's no reason to use it otherwise especially cuz of how slow it is.

 

I never said there was anything wrong with the 5C punish combos posted besides the fact that they start with 5C. We definitely should have some down and memorized for counter hits but its not like we're gonna be poking with 5C looking for confirms into big damage especially when it doesnt go into 214D or 236A at max range. For OMB/OMC combos, I know they're more limited when you start with 5B> 5C and/or there may be more potential off a raw 214D punish. I just wanna find those combos and list them so we have tested hitconfirms (and have damage values) for more than just 5C punish.

 

That happens when proration and untechable time reach lower values, on airhit 214B the character needs time (untechable time) to reach the ground and slide. During combos this value tends to decrease when more moves are used during the combo.

 

CH 5C combos are mostly used to punish whiffed DPs and Fatal Recovery stuff. CH 5C (DC)> 2B> 5C> 5B> 2B> 5C> 5B> 2AB> 214C> 5A> 5C> 2C> 214B is a pretty simple and effective combo that costs no meter and does around 4.3k in the corner.

Here is a fun Shadow Narukami Combo that I like doing.  Is midscreen to corner.

 

5B > 5C > 214D > SB > 214214C > 236236A > OMC > 5C > 2C > 214B > 214A > 214214CD or 214214C = 5765 (Damage fluctates sometimes)

 

Note: for higher damage for this combo start with 5C. starting with 5A then going from 5B TO 5C will net you about 4.8k

 

Like mentioned above, this character has a ton of routes which can be optimized to the users liking. Which is damn fun! :)

Solid combo man, much easier than the ZC routes for almost the same damage!

Shadow Berserk/Fury Combos are good as you can always try new things to optimize the damage. It also take the pressure of people that have both very good and not so good execution.

The Zio Cancels are indeed fun. However when online my opponent always seem to tech out of it ( probably just not fast enough on my part). For me I found utilizing 5C and 2C in a SB combo is a nice damaging substitute.

ZCs are worth learning, and all it takes is an hour of grinding.

I find it inconsistent on netplay, I can usually do them in training/local play.

If anyone is interested in a derpy troll shadow combo, here it is....lol. This combo is meh damage but it can be useful if ur opponent has no burst and u just wanted to juggle them like a rag doll.

5B > Sweep > SB > 5B > 5C > 236A > OMC > 5B > 5C > 236A > OMC > 5B > 5C > 236A > OMC > 5B > 5C > 236A > 236236B = 3538

Was kinda just screwing around in the lab and constructed this. I did some online matches and pulled it off on three different people. 2 rage quit and sent me hate email after. Ahhhh...priceless.

In the corner you could probably just use [2B > 5C > 214AB] x N and get slightly more meh damage while still juggling them like an idiot

Corner 236B starter with bleh damage. Does about around 3.2k but I mostly use it for a reset or catch the opponent being reckless. I usually start it by 

So a set up for it would be like:

 

5B>2B>5C>236B(throw)>5B>5C>j.B>jc>j.B>j.C>214A(or j.AD)>236236C

 

It's not amazing but it's alright for beginners or just catching the opponent pressing buttons.

Just do 236B/C+D > 5/2B > j.C > j.214A > 5A > 5C > 2C > 214B (> CS/Shiden), more damage and easy to do.

Also if you're going to try to do command grab reset use 236AB since it's actually kind of viable then because AB is much faster than B.

2. This one is off grabs:

236B or Grab > 5B > JC > 214A > 5A > 5C > 2C > 214B > SB > 214A > 214214C > 236236A > OMC > 214214CD= 4.7k

I pulled both off consistently online today. It's really nice if you get a meaty counter hit then go into these.

Also for #1, there's no point in doing that when you can do the ones you posted some time ago off 5B for 5.7k, that's a whole 1000 damage more

 

For #2 you could use this for a little more damage iirc, need to be near corner but not exactly in the corner

236B/C+D > SB > 214B > j.214A ZC > 5C > 214AB> 214C > B+D(1) > 236236B > 214214C > 236236AB

 

Or you could use this harder, but midscreen throw combo for around 4.9-5k iirc

236B/C+D > 2B > delay 5B(hit when near ground) > 5C > 214AB > 214CD(2) > 214214C cross up > 2B(1) > 5C > 236A > B+D(1) > 214214C > 236236AB

Metered combo off of CH DP. Timing is a little picky but you should have the opponent's head a little above Yu's cross slash for it to hit.

CH B+D(both hits) > grounded 214214CD(C is too slow) > 2B > 5C > j.BB > j.BB > j.B+D - ~3764

or CH B+D(both hits) > grounded 214214CD > 2B(1) > 5C > 236A > 214214C - 4854

You know, you could do the same combo you posted for 5.7k off 5B and just use 5C starter for 20 more damage.

Also, C CS does slightly more min damage iirc, so only use CD if you need the slightly faster startup.

And, shadow combo from anywhere on screen

EDIT: does not work if Yu is near corner on 1st 214214C, will not cross up

5B > 5C > 214D > SB > 5C > 214AB > 214CD(1 or 2, not exactly sure) > 214214C crossup > 2B(1) > 5C > 236A > B+D(1) > 214214C > 236236AB 5572 

 

Fatal 5A SB Combo using 214214D, i got this from my friend asking me to actually use D slash in a combo, and i found this, although i really doubt anyone will ever use this combo lol

5A > 5B > 5C > 236A > 214D > 5C > 2C > 214214D(yes, D cross slash) > 236236A > OMC > 214B > j.214A > 214214C 5496

Probably this weekend (maybe sunday?) I'm going to make a sweep through this thread on what you guys posted.

Some combos are irrelevant as there are better combos with the same amount of effort put in (if not easier). I appreciate the input, but some of it is already on the first post, with either a combo with more damage or slightly less with minimal execution.  

Remember guys, it's not all about the combos, if you can't hit them, you won't be able to put them to use.

I am gonna add a combo I did and reading this thread no one has added it.

 

150 meter:

 

5C(CH) 236A> 214D> Cross Slash> Shidden> OMB> 214B> 2B> 5C> 2C> 214C> Cross Slash. Damage: 8773

 

You can start it from midscreen since it leads the opponent to corner (your opponent has to be in corner to continue from OMB)

 

I would add more, but do not remember the damage. So, I will add them tomorrow.

There is a better, non CH version posted

5C > 236A > > 214D > 214214C > 236236A > OMB > (5D > 5B > 5DD >) 214B > 2B > j.C > j.214A > 5A > 5C > 2C > 214B > 214214C -- ~9300 without 5D, ~9500 with 5D

Shadow Narukami combo, probably the most you can get without doing the 214AB sweep 236C etc route

Works from slightly behind P1 start to corner 5B > 5C > 236A > 236C > SB > 214D > 214214C > 236236A > OMC > 5C > 2C > 214A > j.214A > delay B+D(1) > 214214C/CD -- 5943, 5C starter does 6935

 

Slightly more damaging version of Wolf's combo 5B > 5C > 214D > 214214C > 236236A > OMC > 5C > 236CD > 214B > j.214A > 214214C/CD -- 5863, note that 236A lowers the dmg by 20

 

For someone who gets a CH 5C with enough meter to SB(usually off a dp bait or something), use this for 7083 damage

 

CH 5C > dc 2B > 5C > 236A > 236C > SB > 214D > 214214C > 236236A > OMC > 5C > 2C > 214A > j.214A > delay B+D(1) > 214214C/CD
