[P4AU] Chie Satonaka Combo Thread

Im having a problem connecting the 2B 100% of the time, is it super spacing dependent? Also, this may be a noob question. I see alot of Chies connect something after the auto AAA, and i never seem to be able to get close enough. Any help is great, thanks.

 

Mid/Full screen:

-5B > 5C > 2B > sweep >>>into:

 

 

 

That combo should only be used if you were dashing before 5B or 2B will whiff. So if you don't dash before 5B you can only do 5B > 2B > sweep/ 5C.

 

Because of that, my Midscreen bnbs are these:

 

1. 2A > 2B > 5B > sweep > 214A

2. 5AA > 5B > 2B > sweep > 214A

3. 5B > 2B > sweep > 214A

4. 66 5AA > 5C > 2B > 5B > sweep > 214A

5. 66 5B > 5C > 2B > 5B > sweep > 214A

6. 2B > 5C > 5B > sweep > 214A

 

In every combo you can use 236AB > 236B (Ex Rampage > B Skullcracker) instead of sweep > 214A.

In regards to connecting something after AAA, it's micro dash 5AA > 5C > 236B > 236B. There are other variants I know of and use but that one is the easiest. The timing of the micro dash 5A is pretty strict so I don't attempt it much online.

Couple of things to help maximize gains off certain frametraps.

 

You can get a Normal 5AA starter on opponents that IB your 5A then try to mash or throw. Same concept applies even if they don't IB - just put a small delay between 5A and 5AA. Normal 5AA has great starting proration. If you confirm the Normal 5AA you can get a nice extension of your usual meterless BnB for more damage, corner carry, meter gain and still getting a knockdown:

 

5AA(CH)~A > 66 5A > 5C > 2C > dc > 5B > 5C > j.C > j.236B~236B (2879 dmg, knockdown, 0 SP)

If carried to the corner, end with Sweep for 3030 dmg and still get knockdown.

 

Any frametrap into SB Rampage (typically after 5C) leads to great damage and corner carry for 25 meter. And if they didn't take the bait, you're still +6!

 

Midscreen: 236AB(CH) > 66 5B > 5C > 2B > 5B > 2AB > 214A (2813 dmg, knockdown, 25 SP)

Corner (Standing Confirm): 236AB(CH) > 66 5B > 5C > 236A~236A > 5B > 5C > j.C > j.236B~236B > 2AB (3576 dmg, knockdown, 25 SP)

Corner (Crouch Confirm): 236AB(CH) > 66 5B > 5C > 236B~236B > 5C > 2C > AOA~D(FC) (4109 dmg, knockdown, 25 SP. Cancel AOA~D into IAD back for the 5DD corner oki setup.)

 

The big damage enders for these starters when you have excess meter and know they will kill should be fairly obvious.

Hey guys, decided to pick up chie since 2.0 is a while away so might aswell get started early. I'm having trouble with one of the combos specifically
Corner:
5B > 2B > 236A > 236A > 5B > 5C > 2C, 5B > 5C hc > j2B > j236B > 236B > 2A+B [3415/32%]

 

I can't manage to make the 2c put yukiko into freeze. Does she just have a goofy hitbox or something or is there just a tight delay timing cause I can land the combo on narukami and yukari fine.

Well Evo is coming up and that potentially means that 2.0 is coming out on console in the near future.
