My eyes are very weak and the quality didn't really help so I'm sorry I couldn't see the damage. ;_;

@BlackYakuzu94 - Yes. I'll add the damage and heat gain values when I transcribe the rest of the video. Though it may take awhile because of my super weak vision and I have some homework but I'll try to put up the accurate values or at least accurate as possible for each combo soon.

My problem is with the j.214C in both. It seems like sometimes the dummy will hit the ground and tech immediately, and other times they'll bounce and allow me to continue the combo. Any idea why this might be happening?

it's all about where the opponent is when you start belial edge. ideally, you want to be as close to the opponent as possible, while only half a body length above you.

 

some characters have wonky hitboxes so midscreen belial will differ on a character by character basis. i seem to get consistent results against ragna.

 

maybe try using dash 5C and see if you can get anything out of it.

tk belial is very finnicky, it's character specific and requires pretty specific conditions, but i can confirm that it's doable

The TK belial is a bitch to do. It seems that you can do it after an air or ground gauntlet hades. The trick after the 214D is to dash 5B and have the 5B hit quite low, so you want the opponent to be as low and as close to you as possible.

Do you mean 5C? 5B isn't jcable AFAIK, or 5B > 5C?

Just got the game yesterday. 

I'm having a hard time connecting 6C>j.214C. Most times the opponent flashes white and techs after the j.214C. I can occasionally be able to continue the combo on accident but I want to be able to do it consistently.

 

Is my timing to late? Is it to early? Would greatly appreciate some help.

 

Example of a combo:

5B>5C>2D>RC>6C>j.214C>5B>5C>5D(1)>214B~214D>5B>5C>5D>623D~236C~214D

i wouldn't rely on 6C > j.214C, since it relies on you being incredibly close to the opponent. i get much more consistent success when i do 6C > 6D > jc j.C > j.214C. there are delays before 6D and j.C, but you can easily mess around with it yourself to understand how it works.

 

also, combos with the latter route do more damage anyways

Is character specific? I've tried on the entire cast and I have not been able to get it to work on Azrael, Amane, Ragna, Makoto, Taokaka, Litchi, Tager, Izayoi, Noel, Carl, Rachel, Valk, or Bang. On each character, the problem is that the j.214C does not connect with their hitbox, with the exception of Tager, who techs instantly after it brings him to the ground. It could just be my poor execution, so I'm wondering.

 

Also, if this combo is character specific, what would be the most optimal and universal combo from 6D starter to use as an alternative?

It's just that, the important part is the dash 5B.

Hi everyone. I been watching (and playing against) Ragnas that use 623C as a wake-up DP or take a risk and RC it for a combo after the second hit.

What would you guys say would be the best combos with 623C starter in mid-screen and corner? I been currently been doing 623C>RC>2C>5D(1)>214B>214D>5B>5C>5D>214A~214D

I dont have the game yet,  but I've seen:

C ID>> Upper (RC)> AD j.C> BE> stuff midscreen. Easier to confirm and doesnt require Counter Hit status.

Corner combo is probably: C ID>> Upper (RC)> BE> 5B> 5C> 5D> DS (DC)> 5D> (22C)> HF~

dmg 4342 heat 18

 

note: first 5B should hit the opponent at pretty much the same horizontal position as you, doing so will have 5D leave the opponent right in front of you so that the 236D into dc dash 5B is doable.

 

execution is balls hard, but it's the most optimal purely midscreen combo route off of crossup divider. also character-specific, haven't tested out on all characters, but it works on nu

 

EDIT: if you want a sub-optimal but miles easier combo, try this:

 

DID > RC dash 5B > 5D > 236D > dc dash 5C > jc j.C > j.D > j.214B >> j.214D > dash 5B > 5C > 5D > 22C > dc dash 3C > 214A >> 214D

dmg 4111 heat 18

 

EDIT: optimal version of above combo route:

 

DID > RC dash 5B > 5D > 236D > dc dash 5B > 5C > jc j.C > j.214B >> j.214D > dash 5B > 5C > 5D > 22C > dc dash 3C > 214A >> 214D
