This marks the first time that an Arcsys game is available to play via a streaming media service. To be expected, delay and framerate issues aside, this release may play as a precursor to what we may be seeing in the near future from Sony's own much touted, much praised, soon to be upon us Playstation Now game streaming service; which is scheduled to be available this coming fall across the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and select Sony brand televisions.
Here are some details about the GameNow service regarding these two fan-favorite titles:
- Includes all of the features present in the initial Playstation 2 version of the game including Robo-Ky.
- Also includes a story mode arc that was not in the Playstaion 2 version.
- Includes a special short movie as an appreciation to fans.
Guilty Gear Isuka- Contains all features from the Arcade and Playstation 2 versions of the game including:
- 4 player simultaneous battle
- 2 player simultaneous training mode
- Robo-Ky MKII edit
- Color edit for all characters.
As of now there is no information whether these titles will be appearing outside of Japan in any shape or form, or whether PC's running in territories outside of Japan can access the streaming service. Stay tuned for more details regarding this as they come in.
