    I just want to know who's going to take Yun's place. He IS one of the younger fighters, so maybe he'll be back just older.
  2. I recently got back into this game thanks to finding a tourney player who isn't a 2+ hour drive away. I'm in Central WI, whereas all of the tourney scenes are on the edges, like Green Bay, Milwaukee, etc. I play Zenia, my usual Arcana is Sacred. Yes, yes I know it's ass, but I really like it's Specials.
  3. 2366 is very hard for me going from right to left (2144 in other words), my wrist aches after practicing it for a while. No problem going left to right though.
  4. How's her Parry now? It "spins" on hit now, right? Does that enable no meter combos off of it, or is it just to make Rapid combos easier?

    How's leveling up in Duodecim? Still possible to powerlevel against Lv. 100 Emporer by reflecting Blue Flares back at him?
  6. Mainly because I don't play BlazBlue anymore, haven't played since I got AH3 and MvC3. Might pick it back up when CS2 hits, but MvC3 put the nail in CS's coffin honestly.

    Taskmaster should get a Demogoblin Alt, and have it so his counters are always active. Meaning if you punch him, he'll punch right back every time. (Hope someone gets the reference lol.)

    Nothing new on Makoto eh? Well, guess that's actually good news, she's solid as is and 5B JC-able on block is great. Only thing I'm really watching for in the coming Loketests is if 214B/C-D is an overhead, and if 623C-D can allow follow-ups or is still just a combo ender.

    I'm wondering if they're going for 3 characters per game, which would bring the final count to 39, or if they'll try and add a new Hero + Villain for each, which would bring th total to a whopping 52. I just hope for IX's new rep it's Beatrix, Vivi or Mikoto. Beatrix could fit on the Chaos side if they wanted, though without Dagger or Steiner, story-wise it'd be odd for her to be there. Vivi would make more sense story-wise, he's got a reason to fight Kuja at least. Mikoto just for semi-lols, it would add the final "Angel of Death" from IX, but I don't see how she'd fight honestly. Maybe wield a scythe, that'd be awesome. She'd also have a reason to be against Kuja, or for him, but I'm certain she's not getting added.

    I've read that Cloud has an aerial Meteorain now, but I can't confirm it.
  14. I'll spar with you Friday, I'll be playable then. As for Makoto without her Space Loop, well we have never HAD to rely on it for damage or oki, but to ignore it completely is a bad decision. At least practice it so you can perform it. She does have constantly better damage if you are good at thinking on the spot, considering how much of her stuff is distance dependant.

    I saw that, but I've gotten it to work on Ragna. He's actually the character that made me post that, since it works if he DOESN'T assume a crouch guard, but he can block the 5B if he does. Weird hitbox?

    Is there someting I'm missing when it comes to combos against crouchers? I've been practicing 6B, 5B, 6A, Taunt Loop against crouching opponents, and decided to record the CPU doing it just to test it on everyone, but for some reason, I can block the 5B if I had assumed a crouching guard during 6B. Is this a mechanic I've not heard of? Does using a crouch guard prevent the extra combo ability against crouchers?
  20. Currently, the one Challenge that is outright mocking me is Tsubaki's #6. I doubt I'll ever get that orb to hit as many times as it needs to, no matter how much I delay the j.214D. That and the first HJC, which is completely un-needed, keeps coming out as a TK j.236C or missing outright.

    These green grab resets are quite nice, any useful or practical resets/setups into the Pounce Distortion? I know you can at least land it if they block a 5C high enough in the air.

    In all my time playing Tao, I never knew 4D was controllable. It seems fairly reliable for getting out of some pressure, as well as making starting a Taunt Loop from 6C a little bit easier. Don't suppose there's any good shenanigan cross-ups on oki with it is there? lol

    Use that after a blocked 3C and you're completely safe unless they IB the 3C, only thing that might be able to get you is Tager's 720.
  24. I know the feeling, it took me a while to get that combo. When Bang starts falling, that's the best visual cue to dash. Once you get WHEN you can move down, the hard part is the air combo, and that's muscle memory like you said.

    Pretty sure Boon already stated that there will be DLC at some point. Anyway, my 2 main characters, Cage and Nightwolf, are already in, so I don't care who else they add at this point. Although I kinda want Kira to be playable, even though she's in the background of a stage currently.
